Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @phoondos
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 1 Month

Your Steam Name: Pufferfish
Your Roleplay Name: Steven Pablo
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:576024407

Why were you punished?: 3.4 - User decided to argue for their firearm whilst under gunpoint, leading to their death

Why should this appeal be considered?: First of all i would like to state i did not argue, I was stating i would like my gun due to being gun pointed and forced to lose my Gun due to the fact a the person shown in the clip killing a cop who was gun pointing me and than forcing me to leave. I would like to mention as a start i did not realise you could just force someone away from their firearm with the risk of it being taken by raiders or stolen by any mingegrabbers and thought the original rule was that the person would be allowed to pick up their firearm and leave the area, as i was told previously it would be classed as “mugging a user in public” to take their firearm when they are not involved. I was at the PLN Building when i was gunpointed by a cop to drop my gun than this raider shown. i than made an f6 in belief i was killed due to the raider wanting my gun and was informed by phoondos i had broken a rule. Without any further information or warning i was informed to “feel free to make a dispute” and was immediately banned with no warning.

Now i would like to mention this 3.4 rule break was practically a self report and i was unaware i had even really broken gunpoint due to thinking i was being mugged for my gun in a public area. I am not disputing the fact i was banned but for the pure length of this ban. I understand now that i may have broken 3.4 but a month is highly excessive for an accidental rule break when i had belief a rule was broken against me.

Within the last 6 months i have been playing the server i have only recieved 1 ban and it was for a day. I think the fact an accidental rule break and practical self report to an admin leading to a 1 month ban seems excessive due to the fact he originally had banned me for 2 weeks than changed it to a month with no actual reason for extension.

Additional Information: I am not disputing the actual ‘ban’ but the length itself as Phoondos originally banned me for 2 weeks which i have evidence of but it was than extended to a month with no warning or no additional reason to why as the last 6 months i have only been banned for 1 day and have been on good behaviour.

image.png The ban given was originally 2 weeks which i would of been completely fine with and just left it at that but the fact it resulted in an immediate decision for a “1 month ban” after already deciding on a 2 weeks ban when all that happened throughout the in-game f6 report was phoondos just telling me that i can “feel free to dispute” leaving me confused to what he meant when he than hit me with a random ban out of no where. He only informed me that i broke 3.4 and that was all that was stated in my f6 to me before than being banned with literally no prior warning to even receiving a punishment for my accidental rule break.

I extended your ban immediately after giving it because I looked at your record
But that is not the point, i had been banned for 1 single day within the last 6 months, people are gonna accidentally break small rules like that and a month was excessive for a small rule break when i was clearly confused and not-informed i was even going to be banned?

I thought I already told you that you were being banned. This was my fault and I apologize for it. It's a 1 month ban because of your history with rule 3.4.

I understand that but why could it have not just remained 2 weeks? most of my bans were when i was fairly new and learning, i moved passed that and went the last 6 months with little to no punishments and now i get a 1 month ban. You didnt even inform me i just got a “feel free to dispute” and than banned for 2 weeks, than a month.

I understand that most of these bans were when you were new, but if you were banned this many times in the first place I'd expect you to know not to break the rule anymore. The fact you kept breaking it made me think that 1 month was sufficient. There was no ill will associated with the ban and it's extension. This was a matter of looking at your record.

I mean it was like i stated though, i was new and i very clearly did not know the rules and played purely to troll, as i played more and started actually enjoying it and playing the server the way it was intended i didnt really break any rules and kept my record clean for half a year, i understand it was due to you looking at my record but surely my older bans cant compare to this one which was purely accidental and i wasnt even aware i had broken a rule, hence why i literally basically reported myself. Accidents happen and i think a month ban for the fact it was a mistake to even break a rule myself with a record that has been fairly clean for half a year just seemed so unfair. I had kept my record clean for awhile just to recieve a lengthy ban for a complete accident that literally only affected me losing a gun and dying, the guy literally gained a scar, Org xp for killing a rival and i now recieved a month ban with literally 0 warning
