Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @phoondos
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 1 Month
Your Steam Name: Pufferfish
Your Roleplay Name: Steven Pablo
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:576024407
Why were you punished?: 3.4 - User decided to argue for their firearm whilst under gunpoint, leading to their death
Why should this appeal be considered?: First of all i would like to state i did not argue, I was stating i would like my gun due to being gun pointed and forced to lose my Gun due to the fact a the person shown in the clip killing a cop who was gun pointing me and than forcing me to leave. I would like to mention as a start i did not realise you could just force someone away from their firearm with the risk of it being taken by raiders or stolen by any mingegrabbers and thought the original rule was that the person would be allowed to pick up their firearm and leave the area, as i was told previously it would be classed as “mugging a user in public” to take their firearm when they are not involved. I was at the PLN Building when i was gunpointed by a cop to drop my gun than this raider shown. i than made an f6 in belief i was killed due to the raider wanting my gun and was informed by phoondos i had broken a rule. Without any further information or warning i was informed to “feel free to make a dispute” and was immediately banned with no warning.
Now i would like to mention this 3.4 rule break was practically a self report and i was unaware i had even really broken gunpoint due to thinking i was being mugged for my gun in a public area. I am not disputing the fact i was banned but for the pure length of this ban. I understand now that i may have broken 3.4 but a month is highly excessive for an accidental rule break when i had belief a rule was broken against me.
Within the last 6 months i have been playing the server i have only recieved 1 ban and it was for a day. I think the fact an accidental rule break and practical self report to an admin leading to a 1 month ban seems excessive due to the fact he originally had banned me for 2 weeks than changed it to a month with no actual reason for extension.
Additional Information: I am not disputing the actual ‘ban’ but the length itself as Phoondos originally banned me for 2 weeks which i have evidence of but it was than extended to a month with no warning or no additional reason to why as the last 6 months i have only been banned for 1 day and have been on good behaviour.
