Suggestion Title: Bazaar Extension
Suggestion Description: Change and extend the Bazaar area to make it more pedestrian-friendly, with more stores, and with more local opportunities to make it seem like a proper, functioning business district. A few of my suggestions would be:
  • Double up on the number of stores, with two parallel store fronts adding up to 17 shops and taking up the space previously occupied by the front parking and fountain
  • New parking lot on the opposite side of the road which is both larger and causes less traffic conflict than bazaar front parking. This would evenly distribute shop-goers between each store 'lane' and also bring more attention to the 2-3 business shops left, making them more desireable.
  • Add sidewalks along Business Street, with bollards and lamp posts as well as road narrowing to encourage drivers to slow down and also to transform the entire bazaar area into a more pedestrian-focussed shopping district rather than a death trap as soon as 1 pixel touches the road. The speed limit should also be reduced to 30 miles per hour at most.
  • Connect a side entrance of Puffer Mart to be center-stage in the new bazaar area, perhaps even having it be the main entrance. This would revive the under-used store and make it somewhat viable (would be even better if a back room was added as well)

yes i made these in powerpoint how could you tell

Why should this be added?:
This is just a suggestion, so not all of these ideas may be feasible, but in my opinion these could bring new life and complexity to the area and transform an area that has been mostly the same for nearly 8 years. It would likely reduce the constant traffic accidents on Business St, allow people to navigate the area better, and bring back to life stores such as puffer mart.

What negatives could this have?:
There may be more initial accidents as people overspeed due to the narrower roads. However, once people adapt to the new road and understand the idea that speeding = damage to their vehicles, people will naturally have to drive slower.

More stores in the area = more entities in one condensed region = more people in one area of the map = more lag.
This is inevitable in any sort of bazaar extension, although this could be solved by simply reducing the number of stores added and adding some open space in place of that. Additionally, the removal of a lot of the business shops would balace this.
