I know you said you aren't into anime, but I love this wallpaper because it changes depending on time of day and you can change the times, of course its only night, day, sunset/sunrise but its really nice imo.

You can set it to pause the background when another app is focused, virtually no impact on performance

And yeah the icons work, its from rainmeter, it looks complicated to setup when you watch a tutorial but its really easy. Some of the icons took a bit more time as I had to find some custom made ones, it really made my desktop feel so much nicer

There are skins with a stupid load of effects that cause lag, you most likely won't use those anyways since they're just annoying, but all the other ones are fine, especially if you do what creepis said
