Brief description of idea:
Allow Tactical Firearms Officers to Spawn the Supervisor Escalade if they are a Sgt+.
This won’t mean TFU get the Escalade as a new TFU specific vehicle, this suggestion is to allow in Gear TFO’s to spawn the existing Supervisor Escalade.
What benefits would this idea have for the department:
- Alternative to the SWAT van when arriving on scene to Perform a raid.
- The vehicle exists in the PD already.
- Slower than the Range Rover so no balancing issues.
- Large vehicle that can block roads which sets for perfect static felony stop points.
What potential negatives could this have for the department:
- Possibly having TFU in a vehicle not marked as a TFU Vehicle might be a niche issue? (This can already be an issue however when light TFU patrol in non TFU Cars)
- Like the rest of the TFU a vehicles, people at medium-long range can shoot under the car to kill TFO’s who can’t fire back.
