Suggestion Title: Change Law 9.2 and 9,8
Suggestion Description:

Change Law 9.2 to Physical Battery with an offensive weapon

Change Law 9.8 to Assault

Please see the following guideline:

Assault: This generally refers to the threat or attempt to cause physical harm to another person. It doesn't require physical contact. For example, if someone raises their fist and threatens to hit you, that's considered assault because it creates a reasonable fear of imminent harm.

Battery: This involves actual physical contact or harm. Battery occurs when someone intentionally makes physical contact with another person in a harmful or offensive manner. For example, if someone actually hits you, that would be considered battery.

This would make more sense, and would open up better definitions for crimes committed.

Why should this be added?:
- Realism
- Makes more sense

What negatives could this have?:
- Nothing I can think of

What problem would this suggestion solve?: Realism in roleplay, help players understand the laws better especially those familiar with US laws which the server is based off of.

I think this is overcomplicate for no good reason.

Even if its not the real interpretation, everyone in the game already interprets 9.2 and 9.8 the way you describe here, changing the wording will just make it more confusing.

And take it from a non-native english speaker, battery is a much less common word that some people will probably not know

For most of the world, unless you actually hit someone, it's considered an attempted crime, not assault directly. At least that's the way how it's done here in Slovenia (but then again, you can't insult any emergency responders, but if you assault them, there's no "of LEO" law. Just casual assault)

non-native english speaker, battery is a much less common word
Whenever I hear that someone was charged with "battery" all I can think of is the Duracell bunny arresting them.
