Do you have to drop weapon components in a mug?

I have been told by some people you have drop weapon components in a mug but I have also been told you do not have to drop them.

I was just wondering if I could have a stable answer from someone , Thanks.

In seriousness though, I don't believe you have to drop crafting materials, including weapon parts in a mug. If you have a fireable weapon then yes, you do.

@MrLewis told me that people don't have to drop weapon components as it's classed as crafting items, may be worth them just clarifying it to others so that everyone knows.
