First demo of the day - doesn’t happen

Hello,

I am having an issue where the first demo of joining the server just doesn’t save. I can manually restart the demo as soon as I join so I don’t skirt around any rules.

Has anyone had a similar issue and managed to resolve it?

FYI:
I have enough space
I’m checking the right folder
Verifying game files didn’t help
Reinstalling didn’t help
Calling Garry didn’t help - he didn’t pick up the phone.

Known issue, not much you can do apart from restarting your demo once 5 minutes or so have passed.

Description of the Bug: The first demo does not start recording when you initially join the server.

How to reproduce the Bug: Join the server, check console. The print that tells you that a demo has started with the timestamp of the beginning is not printed. The demo also does not record.

Errors: N/A

Usually the file exists in the phdemo folder but the request feature cannot find it for unknown reasons, have you looked inside there?

Yes, I checked the correct folder. Honestly stumped at it. This only started happening after I changed all of the following:

Motherboard
CPU
Storage
Memory
Cooling
PSU
Case
Basicallytheentirefuckingbuild

So I can really narrow down the cause

I have had the same issue for a couple of months with no fix, found this out after seeing that my demo after server restart disappears thought this happens to everyone

Could this not be made a server feature as a temporary fix that the first demo after connecting restarts after 5 minutes?
Unless they can fix this ofcourse
