This is completely incorrect.
The fuel cap on the transit van is under a cover located here:

You can see that there is a line above the fuel cap cover so that it can be opened unlike on the other side, anything else to make the fuel cap cover stand out would just be completely unnecessary and a waste of time since the model is from a video game where you cannot even utilise the fuel cap anyway.
