Freezed in spawn when joining server

As the title says, everytime I join the server I get freezed in spawn for all from 1 minute to 10 minutes. It's annoying as fk. The thing is, I can look around, I can use the chat and for other people I am moving when using WASD but for me I am still stuck in spawn.

I know I'm not the only one with this problem since a few of my friends are experiencing the same issue. Just wondering if anyone here has a fix for this?

Reconnecting is the only fix, I dont know why people got this but I dont

Just wait it out... I just do something in the background while i'm still stuck.

This is strange? I'm only ever stuck for about 5-8 seconds. I hold W and I kind of "Run out of it" so to say. It May be workshop stuff loading? When I used to go on lots of Gmod servers I has lots of content and it would always take forever to load. Now the only workshop content I have is for Perpheads and once I've joined I'm pretty much free to move.
