I am not surprised this is a British thing considering how they pronounce Worcestershire or Leicestershire, proper weirdos these Brits
 
I went and asked my coworker "Did you know the Brits say it left-tenant?" and he said yeah and showed me the IT Crowd episode about Peter File :sob:
