Just to let everyone know that I'm still active on the server, but on thursday my computer broke down and I am unable to play.
However I'm on my laptop trying to setup Garry's Mod on there, and hopefully soon I can buy myself a new PC.

Just to give you a heads up on why you might be thinking I've been inactive the past 2-3 days.

Are you going to be building/buying a gaming pc or just some standing prebuilt computer?

Well to be honest with you, my PC messed up because I was trying to upgrade some RAM. Only 1 4GB of RAM? I mean how difficult can it be? but once installed my PC would boot although the RAM was compatible and everything. Anyways I'll be purchasing a custom gaming pc from Pc Specialist at Christmas. No way will I be trusting myself to custom build one myself.. hah. But I have found one withawesome specifications regarding the price. So yes.

Wait so you had 1 4GB stick of ram and installed another stick of ram? Was the new stick of ram the same brand and speed? Or did you remove the 4GB and put a new stick in?

Yes I had 1 4GB stick already installed, so I bought another 4GB stick to make 8GB. It wasn't the same brand but I researched on many different forums and even asked Stephen if it should work, they said yes so I bought "Crucial" 4gb stick. So I put it in, wired pc back up etc.. turned on.. it would boot but showed a black screen; so I took the crucial 4gb RAM out. After I just tried with my old 4gb stick, wired etc. Booted.. still the same thing happened. I was told it was either my monitor or graphics card...so I fiddled with them a bit and it worked. Next morning I wake up doesn't work again for 2 days until I tried yesterday and it randomly worked.

Well, that's really weird, but remember Ram is sold in kits for a reason. Never Mix brands, clock speeds or memory it can damage the ram of even your motherboard. You probably shorted your motherboard if it doesn't fully boot anymore =/

Could be something to do with the build up of static electricity when you molested the poor computer, im guessing you didn't wear an anti static wrist strap xD

Are you sure you put the ram back into the correct slot?

Well today you have learnt not to touch a computer if you don't know what your doing xD

Yep, but seriously I knew how to install RAM. Come on it's just correctly pushing a 5cm x 3cm stick into the correct motherboard slots lol.

Yes I could do how do I do that though? because now my PC is running I'm not risking installing that new RAM lol. And I tried already with the new one alone. Anyway I'll be buying a new PC in a couple months or less.

Normally the manual of your motherboard contains instructions on how to reset it.
