You may have played a bit too much minecraft/tekkit.
Jokes aside, it may be a problem with your microphone auto adjusting. Try turning down audio boost in the mic recording (if it has any) Fixed it for me.
If that doesn't work, head over to sound settings, communications and check off "Do nothing"
