PREFACE
Welcome to the March 2026 edition of the Monthly Roundup. This newsletter is designed to keep our employees and the public updated with any changes in the city or department. Attached to the newsletter will be a message from the office of the Chiefs of Department, awards, key moments and careers. Any additions to the newsletter please contact Human Resources via helpdesk.
MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF
To start with, I'd like to thank AwesomeGamersHQ for his contributions and his dedication to the Department. John has recently stepped down from Deputy Chief of Department, and so we have brought in Tilin as our new Deputy. I wish John the best in his future endeavors and I would like to congratulate Tilin on his new position. John had also written a little resignation statement which I will pop down below.
"It is, with regret, that I resign from the position of Deputy Chief of Department. I’m afraid that I have chosen to leave as I simply no longer have the time to dedicate myself to the role. I unfortunately not been able to perform the policy review I had promised, nor did I launch the perimeters campaign. I have handed over my notes to the Chief of Department and have full confidence that the PD SMT will continue to lead the PLPD well. Thanks to everyone for the fun times, I will likely drop in again once I have more time."
Furthermore, we have seen the ending of Traffic's Campaign #ReadTheRoad. You can read more about the results here and would like to thank everyone for participating in the campaign and I hope there will be more campaigns hosted soon!
Human Resources has also posted the ESS Q3/Q4 of 2025 Results which can be found here
Lastly, we have had multiple command roles open and close, with Juju becoming the new Head of Patrol, and a new Patrol Command position following. More positions such as Tactical Firearms Command, Incident Commander were also opened, which we will also see Patrol Junior Command open shortly after. I would once again like to thank everyone who has applied and taken on new roles.
- Chief of Department Schneider Ficklestein
