Suggestion Title: Name inactivity replacement
Suggestion Description: If a player is permanently banned or is inactive for a year+ their character name is “up for grabs,”

Up for grabs means that a new player can replace the character name of the absent or perma banned player to take their character name.

Why should this be added?:
- names shouldn’t be held on to indefinitely by banned players or players who won’t play the server again.
- Players can enjoy using names they like unless someone active and not banned permanently already uses it
- gives plenty of leniency for players to not lose their name so long as they don’t break the rules in a major major way
- adds incentive to abide by rules, as breaking them and earning 1 year+ bans makes a player prone to also losing the name privilege.

What negatives could this have?:
- players confuse new players with older ones if they overtake names

What problem would this suggestion solve?: Character names conflicting with inactive or banned players.

For the average Billy Johnson this makes sense. But common names, famous names, bad names - these are often chosen by malicious rule breakers and iirc banning them is a good way to kill two birds with one stone to ensure the name isn’t used again. If this is implemented we’d see a bunch of variations of George Floyd again I reckon

The exception doesn’t make the rule here. Obviously we wouldn’t want to allow someone to be called a celebrity or after a IRL person.

I’m saying for just purely a name that is allowed that is being used by someone who doesn’t need it anymore, others who want it should be able to take it from them.

In your example of someone taking over “Goerge Floyd,” there is an exception where the name can be permanently blacklisted never to be used by anyone at all ever again.

But let’s say my character name Omar Asfour. Hypothetically, I don’t play perp for over a year or im
Perma banned, then someone should take over my name since I clearly don’t need it.

I honestly dislike this suggestion ALOT. I feel that you can never know when a player will stop playing on the server, and just because someone has been banned or hasn’t played in over a year, that shouldn’t mean they lose their identity on the server.

If someone wants to use a name that’s already taken, they can always change the last part or even change up a single letter.
