Suggestion Title: Nerf store bought food
Suggestion Description: Make fish way more nutritious to eat and make food annoying as hell. Like 5-7 things to fully satiate hunger vs cooked fish being just like 1.

Why should this be added?:
- makes players depend more on fishers and fishing
- Makes a player driven market for fish more attractive
- Allows fishers to interact with other players to make up for the constant afking rather than just quietly cycling between beach and poissons
- The map is so big, sometimes the cityy can feel quite empty personally and I really think this may help with making it just a tad more lively.

What negatives could this have?:
- unrealistc
- obnoxious for those who prefer to stay alone

What problem would this suggestion solve?: playes relying on others and having roleplay interaction.
 
This feels like it would be more of an inconvenience than an improvement. While I agree that fishing could be made more appealing, this suggestion would mainly just make hunger management more frustrating without providing much real benefit
 
I agree that fishing needs more of an incentive for people to do it, however overall with your suggestion of nerfing food, the downsides outweigh the benefits.

Players stockpiling cooked fish would quickly solve this issue and player-made food would become a commodity. Yes there will be high demand but there can equally be high supply due to the fact fish costs nothing and the fish itself does not spoil or rot, it's as easy as just fishing for a bit or buying it.


Maybe allowing players to setup bundles of fish for sale that stay up until server restart at Poissons would help remedy the risk of no fish vendors being online if the goal is a quick & easy food purchase while still supporting other players but even then its not too difficult to just grab a fishing road if it becomes that grave of an issue.

You know how annoying that would be to get rid of a blurry screen. Food is already inconvenient enough in Perp, and I feel like this nerf is just going to cause more issues. At the end of the day, hunger should be a background mechanic, not something that actively gets in the way of enjoying the game.

Maybe it would help fish be more useful but at the end of the day it may not be the best way to get people to interact with each other. The goal I am aiming for is to make it a non-brainer to interact with other players and get out of your base, rather than just buy a boat load of cheap beans then call it a week.

Eating one of anything will remove that blur effect. You can still access all the shops to fully satiate hunger, this would only make it less time consuming to do so, more cost effective and most importantly give people a great reason to interact with others rather than camping in their bases.

I understand why you feel that way but I do not agree with the belief hunger should be a background mechanic. If it was, then the immense work developers would do would be dragged down in it's playability if this highly upvoted suggestion was to be added

They don't contradict. I'm saying food is already an inconvenience, even with the easily accessible shops around V6. Making food more inconvenient won't solve the issue you are trying to fix (which is buffing fishing). Your suggestion about nerfing food and making fish the "go-to" source of satiation is not necessary and would make these shops redundant.

But you said in your suggestion to make it so that you have to eat 5 - 7 things instead of our current 1 - 2 burgers. By that logic, after 5 minutes, im blurry visioned again with your interpretation on how you want food to be nerfed.

My point is, why not make another suggestion about ways to improve the benefits of fishing instead of requesting something to be nefred when it doesn't need to be? I think the majority of people can agree that this isn't the best approach to this issue.
 
There needs to be actual craftable food first before we consider nerfing storebought stuff. Forcing players to live as pescatarians solely to encourage fishing isn't going to cut it.

With how long most suggestions usually take to add I think people won’t have to worry about a pescatarian diet any time soon even this was to be added. Although yes, I totally agree and that’s the idea as you can see I mentioned earlier. When farming and more food is a thing, naturally, there needs to be a huge downside to store bought alternatives so that people have no choice but to rely on other players or player made food for a more permanent solution.
 
Contrary to what everybody is saying I actually agree with this idea.

I think that at this point unless food diversity isn’t literally FORCED on to players it will never be a thing because of how easy it is to get fed with a single burger, whereas cooking fish is annoying when you know that there is an easier way.
It also encourages a player driven market for food instead of it being only in the hands of the evil NPCs
 
Nerfing burgers so 5-7 not to be hungry is not it, the best take in my opinon is to just buff the fish and not go to the route of nerfing burger.

The way to make fishing more appealing is to improve fishing, something we have been working on for a few months already. I can't say we won't rebalence food in some way following this update, but that is still a while off.
