Mission StatementOffer a structured policing system whilst using new initiatives to implement it officially, with the aim of offering a more common and therefore efficient system of policing.
Pathway
The career pathway with PMPD is quite complex and diverse. Officers whom are accepted into the PMPD, unless the Academy CSI gives express discretion, begin as an Academy PCSO; the higher ranking officers of the Academy unit offer the training and assessment to them.
The PCSO then goes on to become a Police Constable, and eventually a Sergeant. At this point, the sergeant can stay within the Academy; going on to train the next generation of PMPD officers, or join an open specialist department (more information about these can be found on our organization page).
