PC crash when i open steam chat

Hello,i have experienced this a lot of times and it keeps getting annoying. Especially in RP moments.

When im opening steam chat by Shift + Tab my gmod just freezes and the sound is bugged(i hear the last sound constantly) and then my screen just goes black. I cant even turn the PC off by pressing the button on the system block so i just have to unplug it.

Had anyone experienced it? It gets annoying,it happened to me like 3 times in RP when i was raiding/getting raided. And it often resulted in my friends getting stuck inside my property.

Go into the Steam settings -> In Game -> Overlay Shortcut keys, then change the keybind.

If that doesn't work, just disable it and alt tab to the steam chat app itself and respond there

I had a similar thing but it instead happened when I attempted to tab out, changing my display thing from fullscreen to borderless fixed it for me

when i changed it to borderless my pc turned off

edit: nvm i pressed the turn off button with my leg

I hade this problem, my solution was to update my graphics drivers and it hasnt crashed so far.

right click gmod in steam > properties > launch options > put this in "-windowed -noborder" without the "
