Hi everyone,
we're back with another itinerary. We didn't have one in May or June... or July... because... V6? Sure.

At the end of December 2024, we stopped posting Community Spotlights as we felt it had run its course.
Now that V6 is released and there's much more action happening, we want to bring it back!
Community Highlights will be re-introduced in a more condensed form than the spotlight; focusing on our players and staff to showcase their efforts to how they make our community a fun and engaging place. This could be from events they host, things they've made in-game, or posts that have gained positive engagement!
So in summary: Itinerary = Development stuff and Highlights = Player stuff.

@Sindarin has been slowly working to re-introduce the events system into V6.
We would also like to improve the system for joining events; the current '/joinevent' command is extremely unfair to players who want to participate but are simply not quick enough to get it entered into chat; a similar system to mayor voting or organisation joining would suffice.
There will also be some new events for V6.

We have some really great content for everyone to look forward to in the coming weeks.
We have some amazing models being crafted up by @Ezza, which includes a new Speed Camera model for RTU officers, as well as some new civilian vehicles and fixes to the current vehicles.
@kasperr and @Draxen are drawing up some animations for this new speed camera model.
@Draxen will be introducing a new system for Fire Trucks, which sees Firefighters having to fill their engines with water at any relevant filling point. This hopefully will make it a more involved experience when playing as a Firefighter!
@GP and @peeps are beginning to work on some Electronic Highway Signs; which have been highly requested by the community. They currently have some models rendered and they look great! But I will have to save showing them here, as per request.
Something I can promise has been added: @A1L has added the missing vehicles to Paralake Cars! Very cool. They were the Defender, Golf and Ford F350. He also refreshed all the images, as well as updated the About page.
You can also now search by Car Seats, Trunk Slots and Trunk Weight.
Finally, @Maia has been hard at work to introduce a drug market into the city.
In its condensed form, this will make drugs fluctuate in price; which essentially makes players switch between different narcotics instead of reselling the same ones. This will hopefully pave the way for new drugs to be added as it makes them all relevant.
This is quite a complex update quite early in its development.
Maia also is re-skinning the Bank UI to make it much clearer as to what properties have been sold and which ones are available.

@Sindarin is working on some quality of life improvements for PLPD Online.
In the future, you can look forward to training sessions being able to be joined via PLPD Online; so hopefully we can say goodbye to sweatying up the PD lobby waiting for a session to begin.
Human Resources and other administrative divisions will be able to modify many more things about a player, including inactivity notice lengths, removing and adding taser certifications, deletion of assessment feedback and more.
The changelog is absolutely gargantuan, however these updates will be a great step up for the PLPD.

@peeps is unable to contain herself and keeps chomping away at positive changes for our beloved Paralake map.
You can look forward to a brand new Fire Department in the not-too-distant future.

There is also going to be a dedicated night-time version of Paralake V6, with beautiful ray-tracing (not really) giga super lighting and a whole cool nightly vibe that the map so desperately craves.
As well as this, a Source Film Maker version will be released so that you can make your own cinematic scenes.
And that's it for this itinerary! There's an awful lot to unpack here but hopefully it'll get you all excited as of what's to come in the future.
