Phone dial volume

When I make a call the dial tone blows my poor eardrums out I have to turn my pc volume down then back up after, someone said there was a way I could change this in the content folder? Could anyone give me a guide how to do it please? Think of my poor ears

Maybe try turning down the sfx volume by typing volume_sfx in console and then trying till it’s good

Step 1: You gotta find the sound path, so go in-game and open the console and type "developer 1" or "snd_show 1" and then let the phone ring.
While doing this look in the console for the sound file path.

Step 2: Recreate that path in "garrysmod/sound/" meaning you put a new sound file in there, same filetype and name which should replace it
from the server, hope so.

Step 3: Put a quieter/silent file there with the same name and it would technically replace your ringing sound with something that
is better in your taste, hence you think its incredibly loud. Give me feedback on if it works, if not ill try myself next week.

In the latest update they added a volume slider in the f1 menu for the dial/call volume which fixed the issue thanks anyway

Lmao i just read that, i never check the updates i just like getting surprises in-game and this is the only thing i didnt fucking see ahahah, no worries.

This is also the same for when u collect contents on the chemistry table sometimes that shit is so loud I have to mute or take off my headphones shit probs burst my eardrum
