Suggestion Title: Player-owned Business sector
Suggestion Description: Turning the business sector into a majority player-owned area, Except for Car dealer, Casino, Gas station, Car wash, and the body shop.
The 3 properties in particular could benefit entirely from relocation, Or simply being turned into a player ownable building rather than an NPC one since they're duplicate buildings.
In general for all of these shop properties, They should have the following conditions applied:
- Should come with the same level of protection against robberies and being used to grow drugs as bazaar and business shops.
- Should be required to be used as a business premises only.
As such, the following ammendments should be made:
Ragnatech:
- Move the Ragnatech NPC to the Ol'Stool chair shop, Rebranding Ol'Stool as Ragnatech, and Either removing ol'Stool as a shop entirely, or having an NPC inside Uncle Cos sell the chairs separately.
- Strip it of all furniture, except the front counter.
- Rename it to "Convenience store" and sell it at the bank NPC for $4000.
- Place the storage chest for the property in the furthest right corner.
Jennifers:
- Remove the branding on the windows.
- Remove the mirror, and place the storage chest in that room.
- Remove the jewellry counters.
- Removing every other piece of furniture, except for the front desk.
- Rename the property to "Department Store" And have it sell for $6500 at the Bank Teller NPC.
Rather than relocating the property, Theres already one at suburbs that could easily stand as the sole clothing shop.
Roxies diner:
- Keep as is for the most part, except no NPC's and it being player ownable.
- Maybe a kitchen could be added to the back?
- Put the storage chest either behind the counter, Or in the kitchen or whatever new room is added.
Why should this be added?:
Ragnatech "Convenience store":
- Ideal shop setup with a nice automatic door
- An ideal and convenient location on a heavily travelled route.
- Flexible layout without the world props placed inside.
- An open theme allowing flexibility for the property.
- Having to travel less for materials when you need electronics by conveniently placing ragnatech in the city, Replacing the useless chair shop that has somehow survived 5 versions of this map.
Jennifers:
- An ideal property with plenty of floor space.
- 2 floors for selling different items or different services.
- Nice open windows for great business visibility for passerbys.
- A flexible shop property that could be used as anything from a shop to a restaurant, or even a Poker house.
Roxies diner:
- We all wanted this to be a property when it was teased before V5 launch and not just a stupidly oversized Fredys bakery.
- Whilst its theming limits it creatively somewhat it could still be used as a shop property.
- Since this would replace a bakery NPC, Players would be more inclined to, and receive better success in selling food in the business area.
What negatives could this have?:
- Having to travel more to buy clothes by limiting Jennifers to one area.
- Some people might like Ragnatech I guess.
- Having to travel more to buy burgers (But incentivises selling to and buying from players for convenience purposes, as the nearest burger places are in other districts)
- More entities being scattered across the business sector meaning maybe more lag.
What problem would this suggestion solve?: More player owned businesses.
More creativity and flexibility with the businesses in question.
