Who are we?
We are the PLPD Crime Investigation Unit, what we do is we go into Crime Scenes (that are NOT active) and search around, finding clues and evidence towards the criminal's identity, and how the crime was committed.
We do NOT deal with petty crimes, we only deal with serious crimes like Manslaughter, Arson, and more.
How to contact us?
If you have been a victim or witness of a serious crime, then dial 911 on your mobile phone, or tell the nearest police officer. If the crime is deemed serious enough, then we will be called out to the scene.
Do NOT leave a crime scene if you are a victim or witness, as you will be questioned by members of our unit on scene.
Things to remember
It IS against the law to provide false evidence to an officer of the law, that includes the detective unit.
We can NOT deal with active crime scenes e.g raids, as we are not equipped with the correct weaponry and armour to deal with the situations. We are only allowed to carry small firearms with us as self-defense when we're investigating a scene.
