Suggestion Title: Potholes
Suggestion Description: Add potholes to the roads of Paralake, they are far too flat and flawless. The pothole locations and size will be predetermined and each covered by a road section entity. Randomly, when no cars are nearby, these sections disappear to reveal the potholes and cause immense damage to vehicles' suspensions and wheels when they inevitably hit the pothole at 90 MPH.
These potholes could be repairable by the upcoming Municipal Worker job and/or vary in prevalence depending on the current city funds. They would only appear on council-maintained roads (not highways)
An important feature would be that no repairs are allowed to be undertaken on potholes until a full feasibility study, geological review, traffic and risk assessment, setup of temporary traffic signals, and water/gas/electric supply evaluation has been carried out.
Why should this be added?:
- Realism
- Gives the Municipal Worker job, an occupation that will be added any second now, something to do that actually affects people
What negatives could this have?:
- People who go too fast will have the lower half of their car removed by the potholes - which is sort of the point in that it forces drivers to adapt to changing conditions and incentivises municipal repairs/city fund increases for all citizens. If it becomes an issue, citizens can submit a claim to the City Hall for a 5% repair rebate through a simple 7-form, 15 stage process.
What problem would this suggestion solve?: A lack of jeopardy when driving (other than other drivers).
