Suggestion Title: Relax the Constraints of CQB Sniping for V6
Suggestion Description: CQB is defined as such in the TFU handbook: ‘Close Quater Battle’ (CQB) refers to combat where the aggressor and officer are within close vicinity of each other. Close vicinity is a relatively short distance, or when both the aggressor and the TFO are within the confines of the same building.

The last part of the definition ("within the confines of the same building") makes many scenarios impossible, such as sniping from 1 corridor to another inside Lakeview, or from the long hallway in Tidals. Treating a small bedroom the same as a large building doesn't make sense to me. According to this definition, you're not allowed to hold the Stalburg tunnels with a sniper despite being the perfect place to use a sniper.

I believe TFOs should be allowed to use a sniper given the distance between them and the aggressor is large enough. That's not to say TFOs should clear corners or make entry with snipers, but if they have a sniper on their back and the circumstance permits it, they should be allowed to use it within a large building.

Why should this be added?:
- Makes more sense to accommodate CQB for v6, it is a larger map and contains larger apartment complexes than v5 did.

What negatives could this have?:
- More room for error
- It might encourage TFOs to use snipers when it's unnecessary

What problem would this suggestion solve?: Outdated policy that stood true for v5 but not v6.

I don’t really see it changing. We have a strict policy for balance and realism. Adding certain buildings to the allowed list will just create confusion and lead to people abusing it nonstop.

I fully support this. Snipers at close range only work well if you dont miss, if you miss you're at a huge disadvantage since players fire so slow and in that time you could have 10 bullets in your direction killing you.

I don’t think I’m interested in making any changes to this for the following reasons:

Fully removing the policy would make things unbalanced and unfair for the avg raider (eg, sweaters raiding slums with pistols, only to get 360-no-scoped by a TFU with an AS50 at shotgun range).

The sniper is intended to provide flank watch and general “overwatch” in situations. The reason I’m against relaxing some restrictions is that it would encourage people to misuse the L115A even more, creating additional confusion around the policy and more problems in the long run. I’m also not keen on making a “building allow list,” as it would always be subject to change whenever V6 gets an update, which happens very regularly

The way the policy is currently worded makes it simple to understand and follow:
  • Don’t use it at very close range
  • Don’t run into buildings with it (If the attack is in the same building as you)
  • Only use it at close range if someone is pushing you, and swapping to your pistol is suicide
The argument that it should be used in the new, larger buildings in V6 is also not very strong, as there are weapons that are far better and more efficient in those situations, such as the M16 with an ACOG or the Zenith scope.

TL;DR: There are no plans to change this policy at the moment, as it isn’t a significant issue. If you’d prefer to use a scoped weapon at close range that’s more effective than the L115A or AS50, consider using a scoped M16 instead and allow flank watchers to gain better value from using snipers at range. It also just looks goofy and not really tactical to rush a small building apartment with a glass-canon of a weapon.
