Suggestion Title: Roadcrew Update
Suggestion Description: Update the current roadcrew job as it currently stands.
At the moment in feels as though the Roadcrew job has been somewhat left alone recently. It'd be nice for the job to be updated for some better experience.
For example, Having a small "Ranking Structure" similar to the fire department and medic ranking structure recently introduced would be nice to see. Working something like:
- Volunteer
- Apprentice
- Vehicle Technician
- Senior Vehicle Technician
- Road Management Officer
Each rank would come with its own perks. For example, a volunteer would have the current basics of what the job currently has. Each rank would also have it on the back of the uniform. Perhaps allowing them to also have the High-Vis jacket as well, Just without "Police" written on it.
Apprentice would have more gear, Better Pay, Faster Repair time.
Vehicle Technicians would have more pay, faster repair time . They would also have a new vehicle. Something like the Range Rover with an Orange design on the side with "Roadcrew Assistance". Would have an Orange Lightbar.
Senior Vehicle Technician would get more pay, Faster repair time, And spare tires in the boot of the Range Rover. This would allow people who have had popped tires to have them repaired without driving to Business.. However, to combat misuse, It would require quite some time to repair. It would also have a delay on them. A maximum of 2 should only be allowed out at any given point.
Road Management Officer - Given to the persons who have the highest XP for a given day/week. Extra Pay, any more perks. (Will wait on feedback before thinking".
The repair system could also do with a changeup, In my opinion. Instead of just pressing left click 4 times on the car and repairing it, Parts of the car may need repair after Degrading over time, From damage (crashing, shots etc). Little nodes would appear around the car (doors, headlights, Brake lights, Tires, Engine, Windows etc) and would need to be repaired using the Repair tool, Separate from the wrench.
Each task would take different amounts of time. Potentially allowing Roadcrew to change up the prices of a service, but with a maximum allowed amount still enforced.
This could also, potentially, tie in with @Bnej's idea https://perpheads.com/threads/city-worker-job.48523/
Why should this be added?:
- Roadcrew hasn't really had an update that changed it quite a bit, recently.
- Allows for a nicer experience with more reward.
- The New medic and fire fighter update appears to have gone down well, recently, so a Roadcrew update may very well go down. It is pretty much the only job that hasn't had an update thusfar.
What negatives could this have?:
- A lengthy development time, however as shown with the recent update, this led to a more polished update with lots of improvements.
- Potentially a bit too in-depth. Can be tweaked.
- Restrictions. E.G Somethings may not be possible.
