I think we’d be having a much more different conversation if the death barrier at City Bridge was removed. People will need to be creative and find a spot they can “suicide,” to begin with if their intention was innocently providing good applicable rp. Naturally, lazy rp goes hand in hand with non applicable and out of context rp. So giving those people a free spot at the heart of the city seems highly counter intuitive and probably a big reason for why it happens more often than not. Also, it’s just unnecessary, people can jump from a height like that or more and survive. Removing it can only be good because water escapes become more viable and swimming skill becomes more of a playable factor.
