Suggestion Topic: 2.5 Excessive Negativity
Suggestion Description: problem - officers giving max sentence + fine out of spite

solution - add aggravating factors that the officers need to take into account when sentencing someone.

Why should this be added?:
- its excessive negativity. We are told to make an ia if this happens, but an ia is not going to solve this problem. there isnt any reason we should need to icly make an ia when its clearly excessive negativity and ruining the entire game, not just the roleplay.

What negatives could this have?:
- none i can think off.

The aggregating factors are in the law?

If you speed, you can get the fine?

What laws are people being given a too harsh sentence?

everything. read the suggestion and dont think into it. everything ive talked about, is exactly what i mean. they give you max sentence and fine out of spite, it doesnt matter what law you break. its not the laws either, its the actual players. like ive said, they do it out of spite, rather than the actual sentences for the laws being too harsh

Then make a law suggestion not a rule suggestion.

like ive said, its not a about the laws. its the players themselves. the pd department cant fix this issue completely. only cop mains follow proper use of force policies, and also take into account any aggravating factors

No offence, but calm down and then be logical.

The laws and punishments are there to be enforced, your issue is that you are being given a certain punishment.

If you think the punishment is unfair then make a law suggestion, this isn’t the place to do that

It’s up to the officers discretion, there’s hard coded maximums which are adequate.
