Suggestion Topic: 6.2 Third-Party Tools
Suggestion Description:

"You must not use content, software, macros, or scripts that give you an advantage over others. This includes organisation chat binds.

The only exceptions are third party crosshairs, custom weapon skins installed in the phcustomtextures folder, and macros designed to automate player-run games (provided they are in private areas). You can learn more about this in the forum guide."

We essentially allow people to use macros to automate the gameplay of those tabletop games in Bazaar for example, provided the macros do not modify the current player's state in any way (beyond reporting through chat the result of the game) to prevent this being any sort of grey area for abuse.

Player's will also be required to stay in private areas, to prevent spam in chat.

I would also specify in the forum guide that both the player(s) and the game runner rolls from chat must be used for any kind of RNG component of the game, to prevent any kind of "oops you lost" x20000 in a row scenarios. Private areas must also be specified as things like the back of Bazaar shops, or private domiciles.

Why should this be added?:
- Significantly expands what is possible with tabletop games, without requiring significant action from the staff & developers, beyond enforcing the in-game roll usage at times.
- Can bridge the gap to automated games in Bazaar and such.

What negatives could this have?:
- Possible situations where a game runner is using hidden rolls in their macro, but this can be enforced by having the rolls be explicitly in-game.

This could be a product of not having my morning coffee yet, but I have read your suggestion about five times, and I still don't understand what it is exactly you're asking to be added/changed/removed.

I've read this again... If you are talking about /roll, /dice, /flip, etc. binds, those are already allowed.
So essentially, it's more of a clarification on using a script (which cannot hook into the game) or macro to run a casino game. I've run a few where I would benefit from being able to automatically read the player's result from chat with a python script, and automatically put a result back into chat. Essentially just automation of casino games by Bazaar owners.

I realised I forgot to include the word script in my description.

What a lame way to run a casino

He wants the script to detect the roll value then issue an appropriate response (Oops, you lost! or Congrats, you win double your money!)
Thanks money

So removing player-run casino's charm, where players interract with one another...

If you want to stare at an automated machine, you go to the Casino.

There's another thing here that was never listed as a downside:
Your "macro" or script has a bug or something happens that prevents you from spitting out the money the player should get. They cannot even gunpoint you because you're AFK and won't react, even though you took their money.

Bind [key] say /roll
Bind [key] say /dice
Bind [key] say /flip

If we dont allow crafting macros why would we want to allow this in any way?

We're not going to let players automate an interaction that would otherwise be roleplayed out
