Fredy has already said that if Gmod gets released again it will only be shutdown for a couple of weeks and they would work day in and day out for a new release.

When i once googled the topic if garrys is going to release something like garrys mod 2 i only read that he won't do a garrys mod 2 but he is working on some garrys mod VR version but since this infomation what is yall posting is new im pretty hyped for a garrys mod 2

Since the new scripting platform they probaly going to use is better then lua or whatever garrys mod is made out what about those commands wich reduce everything ? is that gonna be better and detailed like the currently one ?

Small sum up

Yes facepunch works on something new but its not sure yet if its 100% garrys mod 2 maybe the devs gonna keep it for themselves and use it to develop games or maybe just give up on it or it could be garrys mod 2 none is sure yet not even the devs.
