Hi everyone,

As a result of a short discussion in the most recent admin meeting, we have undergone a minor rule change surrounding rule 3.18.

  • 3.18 Storages and trunks
While their life and/or freedom is in imminent danger a player must not use their storage boxes/trunks to avoid losing valuable items that the player is currently holding on their person. This also includes detaching weapon attachments with the intention of avoiding their loss.

  • Wording "immediate" was removed and replaced with "imminent" to reflect impending danger that is about to happen
  • Added "and/or freedom" to enforce players storing illegal items when their freedom is at risk but not their life

Does this concern retrieving items from the storage boxes/trunks in face of immediate danger?

How much of a time frame are you putting for "imminent"? @Collier or any of the admin team

Not the same thing!
The main problem I'm trying to point out is that they are synonyms and used in very similar contexts, so the actual time frame isnt that different, instead of changing the word how about we get a specific time frame that we can follow instead of easily bendable wording that any staff can abuse to punish anyone they want, as currently its heavily dependant on how you define "about to".

im assuming imminent means if someone is breaking in or about too arrest you then dont store shit

ABOUT TO HAPPEN, IT DIDN'T HAPPEN YET BUT IS ABOUT TO VERY SOON

if you can hear someone or something outside your door and talking in some lingo about raiding then you cannot access your trunk or storage to store valuables, I don't get how its hard to understand

but then of course these violations will have to be investigated if staff think they broke the rules, there are instances where you aren't sure that you're under imminent danger for your life or your freedom of life if for example you're out of voice range or don't hear any sirens (silent raids). Players are mostly AFK so this will most likely also lead to some problems when they tab back in and suddenly there's a raid when they re-seed their drugs after a batch.

That could very well become a widespread issue... As well as the matter of drug manufacturing in terms of methamphetamine requires quite a bit of concentration, so when one is producing meth on a regular cycle along with possibly other drugs like cannabis or coca, it can be easy to miss out on signs of impeding raid. This can especially be the case when it is a group in question, when there can be quite a bit of communication happening that can deafen out signs of raids.

I'm going to just assume that this doesn't affect the raid victim fetching any items or weapons from storage during imminent danger.
