Detailed description (why should it become added/...):
I am sure @StephenPuffs himself has said that it is really awkward to take control over your characters voice, and it is. Adding some growling is not only more realistic than yelling out weird stuff, aswell as harder to hear.
Of course, the voices are good for reminding yourself that you are hungry, but making the noises loud for yourself (if possible), and more silent for others should work out.
