Main Idea: Adding a status bar to confiscations
Full description of the idea: Adding a status bar to confiscating firearms that takes either 4-8 seconds depending on the gun, or the same amount of time it'd take a civilian to pick up and equip said gun for officers confiscating it. This is to deter "illegal confiscations". The confiscation can be cancelled by pressing C and officers will not be able to move until the action is cancelled or complete.
Why should it be added?:
- acts as a strong deterrent for cops who wish to confiscate guns in the middle of a shootout
- Will add an in-game penalty to such actions that would otherwise be dealt with with reports and IA's
- Most importantly, it makes sense to implement a feature like this
Pros:
- Powerful deterrent against cops who confiscate mid shootout
- Confiscating guns wont just be an easy click and complete task anymore and will take some sort of tactical thinking
Cons:
- Confiscating large amounts of firearms might take very long (Imo, as it should)
-People might wait til cops start confiscating to shoot cops, making seizing a gun more of a tactical decision
