Steam Overlay crashes my PC

Don't know why, but recently steam overlay seems to be crashing any game I play, fine if I open it but when I close it my PC will black screen and I'm unable to do anything.

Wondering if anyone knows anything about this

It is a problem for all people around the world. For the past 3 months this question appears everywhere.

The same was happening to me for like 1 month and updating my nvidia graphic drivers helped and since then i never had it again

The Steam overlay can sometimes cause crashes, particularly on closing. This can cause the game to freeze or the screen to go black. Disabling the Steam overlay, reinstalling Steam, or updating/reinstalling graphic drivers may fix this.
