What rule do you wish to Edit/Add: Rule 5.3

Your version of the rule: We've seen it and heard it over and over again. People mass raiding powerless people and they complain and are told to stop crying as no rules are being broken. New players joining the server and trying to get a grasp of the server only to be mass raided and shot down not only to earn nothing over a multiple hour period but to also lose what they have. They are told as sweaters they have no immunity and they have to make it up like the rest of the others. This disappoints them, severely. Some people leave the server because they aren't having fun, this is supposed to be a game and not a real-life financial crisis that has to be dealt with in a rough way. People have had enough and they've voiced their concerns but it is time to formalize this. I am proposing a change to the Raiding rule (5.3) in which people are allowed to go around the city and chain raid every single base they encounter because they have the power to. Mind you, in large numbers too.10 people raiding an apartment of 4, 2 sometimes even one player who is absolutely powerless to those people. This turns the server into a deathmatch instead of a roleplay server. Eventually, these people get cocky and decide to mass RDM because they can and get banned for it. With a pathetic apology a few weeks later they are swiftly back on the server and it is only a matter of weeks before these players get together again and dominate the server, severely and negatively impacting player's experiences. If anything the current raiding rule allows people to break rule 2.5 (Excessive Negativity) and there is nothing people can do about it. I propose changing the raiding rule to only allow a maximum of 4 players to raid or assist in raiding an apartment at a time and to reduce the frequency of raids, prevent these people from raiding any other property again for 30-60 minutes. Also, people of the same organization are barred from raiding other properties as this raid cooldown would apply to them too. People want this change, they've been asking for it for ages. A player even told me how they remember how Olsen was in 2016 and how it killed the server. Please consider this change and think carefully, objectively, and fairly.

Why do you believe this rule should be Added/Edited:
People's experiences are severely impacted by this issue and the proposed change will help tackle this without eliminating the possibility of raids. Obviously, this idea is flexible as a rule change will majorly impact the server. So consider this carefully. People who are part of large, powerful organizations would be no longer able to chain raid which might upset them, inconsiderably so.

ADDITION: I wanted to emphasize on how overpowered the raiding rule is,

5.3 Raiding
Civilians are not allowed to raid, or assist others who are raiding, an occupied property more than 3 times in a 60 minute period, or raid the same property more than twice in a 60 minute period. If a civilian has died whilst raiding a property, they must wait 30 minutes after they have respawned before attempting to raid, or assist others in raiding that property, unless the same raid/rp sit is still ongoing.

Powerless people are allowed to be raided 2 times in a 60 minute period, and given the power of the organizations raiding, the people basing will lose every time and will have their time wasted. In 60 minutes, these organizations can split into groups and exploit this rule to be able to chain raid every base in the server and they win every time because of how defenseless the people raiding are against them.

@CaughtRed it's called paying someone 20% ontop to craft it, If only there was a website run by crafters where people could perhaps order items

If you can't take the fact that you may be raided if you base then don't base its simple really. Every time I base I expect for someone or an org to come and raid me as its just what happens and if you have a problem with money or getting guns then do legal jobs until you have enough for a gun and then go buy one or order one of perpmarket.com. A rule change is not needed just because you can't handle the way the server works. Furthermore, I don't see why people should have to pick and choose which friends they want to bring on a raid because you don't like the fact that people work together, if you don't like being raided by people like this then join an organisation yourself and build your guns up and money by basing with a large organisation.

As I said over and over, I don't care if I get raided. I have the money. It's an issue with the new players and those who are defenseless. As you can see this rule change doesn't prevent raids from happening, rather them being less frequent.

Definitely think something should be added as Ive explained above. It would be good for new players which perp needs.

targetting sweaters is something that generally isn't accepted by this community, and most raiders don't even take anything if they see it's a sweaterbase. I've seen raiders give tons of guns and goods, even money to sweaters they've raided...

2.5 Excessive Negativity
Players may not excessively impact the experience of others in a negative manner, unless the actions are a proportionate escalation of negative actions that have been performed against the original player.

When participating in raids, players carrying visible weaponry are considered to be significant enough threats to be killed justifiably without prior verbal commands or interaction.

For example, it is not acceptable to:
  • Intentionally mug and target new players.
  • Destroy valuable items due to basic distaste such as product prices.
  • Killing a player over verbal insults, minor or accidental actions.
  • Killing a player after mugging them because they’ve seen your identity.
  • Intentionally steal a car to wreck it without any valid reason.

Under rule 2.5 Excessive Negativty it's forbidden to intenionally target and mug any new players. If you feel like they do, you can make an report on them and an admin will deal with this. In my point of view it's unnessacary to change the raiding rule, since rule 2.5 already covers this.

In the thirty minute gap you have, you can grow some weed to make some money. Also i've done legal jobs for the first year or so on the server till i had enough money to start in the criminal world as well. I didn't have an org, but i've found a way to make money very easily, just craft for people, and grow in the meantime, people don't often raid certain shops.

First i had curak crafting, with some dedication i've made around 4mil profit from it, without having the worry to loose profit, since it's just crafting and not that of a big risk. Now with perpmarket, in one week we've made over 2.5mil profit for all our crafters!

This server is balanced in a way that makes it certain even if you get raided two times in an hour you'll still get profit. It will be hard at first, but most of us went through the same phase!

Just a point of advice if you do get raided by a big org, you will prob not win don't use an 8-16k rifle to defend, just use pistol and shoot a bit, call 911 and hope a good tfu is on!

I really do understand it honestly. Why you're purposing such a rule. But making it so only 4 people can raid a property of like, 14 people is kinda dumb honestly. THAT is harsh.

Solution:
What I think needs to be done is that the staff team needs to take raiding/mugging new players more seriously and crack down on it more. It also needs to be clearly defined what makes a player a "new" player.

Additional comments:
There doesn't need to be a new rule. It just needs to be taken more seriously when a new player gets mugged/raided. I remember a time when a certain individual was KNOWN for raiding and mugging sweaters and even purposely and not caring. He got verbally warned a lot but it didn't really ever do anything because he would still do it. At the end of the day, the server is at stake because of it and while the server is doing alright nowadays, it COULD be doing a lot better.

I do agree on this, rule 2.5 should be enforced more when it comse to raiding/mugging new players!

I'm just gunna flex my allegiance to sweaters real quick as I have had the #SweaterLivesMatter for my signature for the longest time. In fact, I've had it way back when I first joined the server up until this day. I am a solid believe that people should be nicer to sweaters (of course unless they're being retarded/rude. In which case, feel free to mug/raid). If you want the server to prosper and have more people to shoot at/ shoot with, then stop mugging and raiding the sweaters. Even if you don't even like or care about the sweaters, surely you can agree that they are an important resource to the server and if that's the case then at least PRETEND to be nice to them until they're able to fend for themselves and THEN you can go raid/mug them whenever you want.

Ridiculous suggestion. Too many people whining and trying to bend rules into their favour. There's already too much restriction from the rules that limit gameplay and roleplay.

The thing is Travis is not a sweater so he's not trying to benifit himself. However I'm aware Travis has friends who are sweaters and I don't think it's fair having raid hungry orgs like fnatic raiding sweaters

Sorry but in my opinion, “Powerless” people don’t deserve to profit from drugs production if they are unable to defend their product. No drug lord would invest in a drugs supply line that’s being guarded by people that could be bested in a raid scenario by the fucking village people one handing improvised bludgeons made from Balloons and vibrators.

If groups are splitting up into smaller groups to raid you then surely that would not only be easier to defend against but also if you lose, the second group would have to wait like 30 minutes anyways for you all to return to your base and for your next batch of drugs to be at least half done.
