Description of the idea:
Adding the Taurus Judge .410 shotshell fed revolver to PERP.
Many open source / free to use models exist for this weapon, some already ported to gmod and fully animated.
The Taurus Judge is a shotgun handgun designed for use with .410 shotgun shells.
Weapon info / balancing:
- The weapon should take existing “00 buckshot”, firing 3 or 4 shots instead of 6/8 as the shells are smaller.
- The weapon should take up the “secondary” category.
- The weapon should have more recoil than most revolvers.
- It should hold 5 shotgun shells.
- It should share a crafting price range with the SW Model 500
- The gun should have a fair bit of spread compared to other shotguns, but lesser so than sawed off shotguns.
Uses / purposes:
- General self defense
- Equal opposite to the SW500 and other heavy revolvers, as most revolvers require precise aim to use, this one won’t, at the cost of range performance.
Why should this be added? (pros):
- Unique niche firearm unlike any other on PERP, we have no real alternatives to a secondary concealable shotgun, only primary ones.
- Would work well as a gun for mugging, self defence, and a cheap defending / raiding gun, as well as possibly a mayoral assassination weapon. Possibly could also become available to SS units?
What negatives could this have? (cons):
- Modelling and development time.
