Description of the idea: when setting up a robbery going to veikko international body shop gives you the option to remove your license plate for £20,000 a vehicle [person must have entered the code to be involved or this wont work for them]
This completely removes any license plates from the vehicle until either
5 mins after the bank robbery is over
The person dies [black screened and respawned]
Failure to display the plates would fall under 12.6 so no need to add a new law
The vehicle will not register on ANPR systems either

Why should this be added? (pros): Makes it harder for police to find vehicles and requires them to search harder
IRL you would either use a stolen car or remove the plates for robberys so it makes sense for it to be possible here

What negatives could this have? (cons): makes the plpd's job harder i guess but honestly a bank robbery suspect wouldnt be found in like 10 seconds

This just isn't really a necessary change;

It's not like police need to be able to identify you to be able to place a warrant, it's an automated system, you're immediately warranted after the drill is placed.
I feel that this feature would go almost entirely unused for a few reasons;
  • It's commonly known that people robbing the bank are almost never in it for the money, they're in it for the shootout. If you're looking for an easy shootout, avoiding police attention is the opposite of what you want
  • If you ARE in it for the money, $20,000 is a significant portion (sometimes MORE than) of the profit you'll get from robbing the bank, meaning people aren't likely to drop that much money just to lose a plate for a few minutes.
  • It's PERP, the police computer comes up with an exact image of you and for the most part, you can identify a person's car as theirs based on model/colour/bodykit etc without seeing them in it or needing the plate anyway, so there's very little benefit to not being able to read a plate.
