Right, the base rules have changed a lot in the past few weeks (Mainly about the raised defences). This is all just my opinion on this all.

So today I had an I was living in regels and when I had finished I had my base checked. In the kitchen area I built a little raised barrier with 4 fridges a small barrier supporting it and a 3 thin barriers as defences with a big wooden fence to stand on. Chris said this wasn't allowed. When he said this I was a bit surprised because the day before I built one and when it was checked it was fine. I think they are trying to make the bases a bit too realistic. You have literally got to support everything. Another example is a couple days ago I had a base with my org in slums, we had made a raised defence and it was taken apart by a mod. While this was happening, someone in my base was looking up how much metal / steel could hold and the results he got would probably make it so 4 fridges and a barrier could hold 3 barriers.

I just think if they change this stuff about basing, they should make a post on the forums because the last post was about the weapons update and no rule changes were mentioned - also in the 2 before it.

EDIT : The font colour because people couldn't read it.

In all honestly I have/had issues with the rules on defenses but this is one time I agree with them. A couple fridges would never be able to hold up 3 concrete barriers.

I do not know why you are whining about it.
"I think they are trying to make the bases a bit too realistic."
A bit too realistic? Why would they want people building the aids they do now? Do you really think that having 10 barriers, 4 wooden fences, 4 fridges in the same spot and whatever else in a small apartment is valid? Not to mention the aids "supporting" of stuff where you put some wooden fences or fridges on the bottom and then 3 more damn concrete barriers on the top.
"You have literally got to support everything."
I will not even comment on this one, think about it yourself.

Now about your comment,
"Anyway, with the new update SWAT can easily raid them."
And how do you know on what will happen in the future? How do you know that SWAT will be that good? Why would police even raid you if you make sure to not be suspicious? I do not think that it is that hard to keep them away.
"but aren't you meant to have the advantage in defending?"
Well sorry, growing=risking. Gather a couple of friends in slums or regals, with barriers being on the floor and see how well you will do if you get raided.

Note: This reply is meant to state my opinion on the matter and yours may be totally different, that's more than fine.

Oh and yeah, please write in black cause my eyes are hurting.

If there is something I hate about any rule, its this base defence rule. Every admin has another vision on it. You let it control by 1 admin and he says its alright, while the other one 10 minutes later removes 90% of the defences since it is against the rules. It would be of great help that EVERY admin + Enforcer are 1 one line on this subject.

1 Time we had a base in Morons. Base had an approval from the admin. Cop raid starts to happen and guess what, the admin in the raid sees that the defence is not fair. Flies inside during the raid, removes everything. This all happens DURING the raid. Multiple props just got thrown away so the swat could literally kill everyone because of that prop dissappearing. There should be some decent lines between all the admins so they know what is and what is not allowed, since every admin has another vision of it, which it's not making it fair for the one who built the base in the first place.

And everything is unrealistic in their eyes. No maze, everything needs to be supported. Mate, you can better not place any defences since everything is seen as fail defence anyway. Even when I support everything I build, then I get complaints from admins that its not fair. There is always ''something'' about your base that is fail. Tip for today: Don't build defences, it's fail. Stick with Couches and tables and get your defences from there.

Just stop trying to raise concrete barriers, it's silly and unrealistic. Doesn't matter if you use a bed or a fridge or some garden fencing, they'd never realistically be able to support a concrete barricade.

Not to mention the only reason you do it is to get that borderline headglitchiness that you guys seem to love.

+SUPERT, CUS CONCRETE FLOATS IRL RITE?

No, stop levitating concrete and claiming that ratty bit of plywood underneath is holding it up.

This is the kind of nightmare we have to go trough, making sure everything is within the rules.

Every base is different, not all of us are on one opinion, we try to enforce the rule as best as we can. Defences back then weren't that much of a problem, there were less props and everything was much simpler and entrances weren't defended by standing behind concrete barriers.
