Lately I have been seeing these phrases on the forums, so I thought I could clear things up from my point of view. I'm not complaining and I DO NOT want to start ANY jerky with you guys. Lets begin:

"PERP has changed, people only powergrow and dont rp. It's just raiding and salt bla bla bla"

No it isn't. People like @Testa are an example of a person who made 4mil for a Bugatti with most of it being revinue from his casinos. The goal of PERP is to make money, one way or another. It's fun and rewarding. Thats like saying "People only make money these days in PERP and dont waste money on a shop where they sit arround with a lot of furniture they crafted by themselves and get mugged like 7 times." its the goal of any RP gamode to become rich, and to have fun. If raids werent here, some sweater would sit in his appartment with his sweater pots, growing all day. Its an eco system: You grow, they raid, spend money on guns, money goes to gun dealer. Gun dealer buys gun from you, money back and the cycle repeats itself.

"Cops have become so raid hungry..."

No they havent. Its normal for a cop to check on you if you live in an appartment that: doesnt have beds, has CONCRETE BARRIERS inside (the shit thats used in construction), wood fences, and spotlights like its Alcatraz, along with more guns inside then ISIS has ever had. A cop knocking on your door to check in on you isnt him being raid hungry, and dont get me started with a cop searching your living room for bullet holes, and then you blatantly say "you cant see drugs through walls bro raid hungry much????"

It isnt dead. Every day, at least ONE gun shop is open. I've seen @Blicky and @Crimson Nugget running a shop with quality guns on display. Sure, guns got more expensive, but thats the point. A guy who spends 20k on a gun with mags and all sorts of attatchments is gonna care more about it then the previous system where an M4 cost you the same ammount as an Glock 18c.

Oh lordy I have found a gold mine. Back in the day when The Harpers and Standish were at large, beef was so common, you didnt need a cow to get it. Raids hapened 24/7. Some Junior Member says this how "The community became toxic", you dont know shit lol. When Herpes members were raiding and Standicks were raiding it was bad. In my opinion, its not as salty as before. Just because someone is mad about losing his walther PPK, doesnt mean you should be acting like you're made of gold. They are embaressing themselves by being salty and its entertaining to watch IMO. In the end, all salters get told to shut the fuck up and they continue their lives.

You know Franklin from GTA V? He keeps on saying how "Los santos is full of wierdos" and how his life is full of shit, but he still stays there (???). The same shit is happening with the people who complain about such irrelevant shit like this. Get over it, times have changed.

The community has come a long way, and there is no use trying to pretend like it isn't true. We have come from the only food being a melon, being forced to play in evocity, to having one of the most popular GMOD maps, custom guns, custom drugs, custom gamemode and better staff than ever. Next time you're about to call an admin a Nazi, remember that there used to be a time when people with Guest accounts used to be staff.

I don't think people are annoyed about it, i just think that perp set a standard and it's changed so they are not ammused by it. Such as, gun shops their use to be like 5 gun shops at bazaar now their is only one (we set the standard of 5). Cops have became raid hungry what some people don't understand is some way or another somebody got salty and said that and it's just been spread around the community and everybody says it when they get raided it's just a thing which salty perp players do.

I agree with you here however this has always been like this you can not expect for their to be none on a 75 player server. Yes it shouldnt happen and it should be enforced strictly however, again it's just a thing that happens all the time and players dont take notice of it as it happens so often.

Yes it has changed! Yes some people do rp but their used to be so many more and now their's less it's not meeting the standard of a 'Serious rp server'.

I understand your frustration but things have changed and as im sure many know people don't like change. That's all they will get use to it and set their 'standard' to this as it is now.

Just to add on some things you mentioned

literally been a non-issue since the dawn of the gamemode. Perp has essentially always been a cops vs. robbers type gamemode with the odd "actual RP" thrown in. It was the case when i played the original perp on the original perp server back in 2009 as well as it is now.

See point 1. Running around giving tickets to idiots for running red lights is only so fun for so long. As long as it is within the rules, whomever complains about it should probably just stfu. Besides, who doesn't like a good shootout

Honestly selling "quality guns" at bazaar has become as dangerous as growing drugs in the interrogation room of PD. People see you drop a couple AKs and a couple sniper rifles on the table at the front of your Bazaar Shop and they prey on you from afar knowing you're going to get another one of those out, so they will do anything to get you inside your shop at gunpoint.

This morning only I got raided about 4 times, I didn't lose anything except a gun once but it is extremely annoying to have to take the following safety measures:
- Have an org member cover the back of my shop while I'm taking guns to put them for sale.
- Have a gun raised everytime I enter and exit the backroom of my bazaar shop, and even then I'm at a disadvantage because I don't know where the criminal will be.
- Store everything I've got except maybe a Cellphone while I'm selling.

Maybe I'm just salty, but it's exceedingly ironic how we can't place defenses at bazaar shops for "RP purposes" but in this kind of RP people sure raid the hell out of every shop they see.

Shops ARE transforming into casinos, I have been crafting and selling (NEVER have I bought a gun from a bazaar shop, when you get max firearm level you don't depend on sellers to make guns for you) since day one and there never were as many casinos as there are today. Today, from 9 bazaar shops, only 2 were selling guns. One was mine, and the other was some dude selling pistols. The rest, I was surrounded by casinos with different offers for the roll.

Another point is people don't understand how selling works. I'm literally the only guy at bazaar selling rifles and people complain I put the prices to make 2k profit instead of 1k. How many people sell 15 AK101 at once with full mags and sights? How many people sell sniper rifles with scopes at the same time? How many people sell like 20 Zenith and PMII scopes separate for everyone to use on their guns as they wish?

Even AK-47s which are mainstream guns, are hard to sell. Nowadays people only buy M4s because it even sells for LOWER than the crafting price, that's why I avoided crafting even a single M4 in my firearm leveling-up process.

I have been selling everyday, if you don't remember a shop that is called "Selling absolute shite" everyday it's because you haven't played lately. I'm thinking of not selling guns again or doing it in front of the subs storage NPC through adverts. Less BS, less danger and growing 30 drugs in the same apartment just seems safer.

Haven't been here for that long but I'd say the server has changed in some ways for the better, I miss some of the older elements that are now gone but the server in itself has undergone quite a big change compared to when I first played and it's mostly positive stuff.

About casinos, it's that time again where people see one person succeed with it and everyone tries it out, it will probably die out again soon until someone starts it again, @Super2984 got a 918 Spyder within a day off of hosting a gambling store before the summer last year and everyone tried to do the same and eventually people stopped doing gambling shops after a while because they fail and people generally learn not to waste their money on shit odds.

If people complain about your gun prices, don't lower them unless they really are bizarre, let people complain and eventually someone will probably buy them off you because nobody else will sell them. You shouldn't expect to sell them straight away really, but you can make the prices slightly cheaper if you know the demand will be high meaning you can mass-craft as long
as the taxes are gucci.

Anyone that complains about that is quite brain deficient clearly, some people can't think of simple excuses to get themselves out of shitty situations, or they just run around pointing guns at eachother, minging about, killing eachother or not bordering their balcony window at regals and then opening their bathroom full of drugs . If anything it was a far bigger pain in the ass when the old law was in place and Police were able to raid based on suspicion or whatever the law was, if that was in place today I'm sure that salt levels would be way higher in OOC.

I've always disagreed with this thing about people never "roleplaying" anymore. Of course to some degree it may be true, but really ever since I played, the way I saw the game mode was the predominant part of the gamemode being cops vs robbers and then every now and again some people made some cool role play stuff, which even occurs today. If someone prefers to do something different to others they shouldn't really bitch about it, stick to your own thing and let others do what they want on the server.

Especially the thing about the casino stuff, though yes, it has become slightly oversaturated as some say, I reckon it'll die down soon enough. I remember there was a casino phase about six months back, it lasted a while, people complained about it being shit, then it by and large died off. And people like @Testa make a pretty damn good casino might I add.
