Why would we use the “EU” signs when we have the ones we already have? They are much better and easier to read and understand bc most good drivers live in America already so they don’t have any room for improvement. Using any European signs would just be making it harder for perp players to understand
This is precisely why I voted for American signs. They're so on-the-nose about what the sign means, it's harder to mess up something that's spelled out than the EU variants that are just a bunch of shapes, an IQ test most perp players will fail.

how is it safer?

not being ironic, for real
Seems that it may be because people are generally dominant in their right eye so they can monitor oncoming traffic and their side mirror more easily and right hand dominant so they can keep their right hand on the wheel while they change gears/interact with things such as the radio with their non-dominant left

Before I even realized the poll existed, I didn't think one option only exactly made sense.
US Warning, EU Regulatory, EU Obligatory, US Priority, US Informative.

But in all honesty, US signs make sense.

Not only the obvious arguments of driving on the right side of the road, and the fact we use mp/h, but also:
  1. We use Chest/Trunk instead of Boot
  2. Most cars are left-hand drive, a norm in American cars.
  3. We use Wrenches to repair our cars, not Spanners.
  4. We buy Cigarettes at gas stations not Fags.
Then again, we use a lot of imperial methods/American norms everywhere.
  1. We all carry Flashlights, not torches.
  2. We use Fahrenheit when cooking Meth.
  3. We use the $. Not €.
If it isn't broken, don't fix it. (Im all for QoL updates/making things look better, tho!)
