Description of the idea:

Adding in untraceable guns that can be purchased from the 'Bank NPC' or 'Drug Dealer NPC'.
These guns would end up being more expensive than normal ones due to the fact murders would be 'Untraceable' to users.
A restriction on what type of guns you could get would and should be limited to pistols instead of assault rifles for now.

On DNA it could possibly show the caliber of the weapon instead of who killed and what gun exactly.

Why should this be added? (pros):

-Killing enemies or rivals would be done in a more realistic fashion and cleaner fashion because you'd have a gun like this.
-PD would have more work and more organisation on cases involving weapons like these and they'd be forced to look for a shooter instead of camping for DNA.
-More stop and searches from the PD would occur which I will class as a 'Pro' in terms of RP because there would be more guns being confiscated from people just transporting them illegally and thinking they are invinsible. Criminals would have to take more care in keeping their heads down and staying out of trouble.

What negatives could this have? (cons):

-May take a fair bit of work to develop.

Other additions:

Images: I Will provide an example as this thread progresses.

The DNA tool is really the only thing that the PD has to solve and confirm murders apart from cops actually witnessing the murder. Sure you might kill a person and the investigation tool would get a caliber of gun that was shot, but how will that help? It really won't help at all because there are SO many people with different types of guns of each caliber that finding the shooter based on what caliber alone won't help. This will be abused and people will constantly use this feature because money is the least of their problems. They can just kill someone and discard the gun or put it in storage, no way cops can track you and it would be a major Buff to Civs and would be unbalanced.
As it is now it's fine since the "investigation" that happens in perp is absolutely nothing close to what happens in real life investigations.
IRL they would have open cases with Casings (They have imprints of the gun's firing pin and other noticable markings like the ejector or the back of the gun printed on the back of the casing with the force of the bullet. This is found with the equipment they use) taken as evidence and have a whole database on it) If another murder happens with the same gun and the markings on the newer casing found match the older one for example, that way they can start solving the puzzle.) Over all it is VERY complex and VERY difficult to implement to perpheads.

Video of how it works IRL in simpler terms
as you can see it is difficult if not impossible to implement. If this was a thing and there would be a whole database with this information and all of that, then maybe yes we can implement this.

Keeping as it is, is fine. Maybe you could lower the chance of the DNA tool getting full name and surname with the distance of the bullet travel but still have a chance on how cops can track you, like facial features, some letters of the name. etc.

i reckon its unrealistic to have it be so accurate.when you dna someone it should show a couple of possible matches instead of it Being 100 Percent accurate all the time

It has to be 100% accurate since it's really the only thing cops have to identify / confirm the murder unless they witness it...

True but at the same time, given that cops in pepperheads have a lifespan of about 45 mins actively patrolling on high pop server and then dying to some wop who pulls a gun on you in a traffic stop, escalates to a PD jail break and boom all of the PD is dead. Any evidence or information is lost. Realistically if there was a jail break it would be ideal to have the shooters remove any evidence ofc. I'll give you an example of what MAYBE could be done.

You take DNA, 1 confirmed shooter name pops up along with 3 other random names that are players.
You know what the bullet caliber is since the bullet has it's own riflings and markings. Gun (M4 556x45 NATO)
Notshooter 1 Has the same gun same caliber but the game automatically says it's not him, you need to investigate his gun to see if it matches the markings
Not Shooter 2 Doesn't have the same gun but the same caliber, game says it's not him, investigated and no markings match
Not shooter 3 Has 40 M4 556x45, you need to INDIVIDUALLY CHECK ALL OF THEM to see if they match any markings.
Shooter Check his gun and the game says it's him after you physically check the gun for markings

(you investigate guns by physically clicking on them with tool)

Or a bypass to individually checking the guns for same markings such as rifling and all of that, check 1 thing. The storage compartments. UI opens up of his whole inventory (only weapons and ammo, explosives don't show) and the game automatically detects the gun in storage that was used in the shooting. For this you need access to the storage box, or if your lucky go to the car and find the gun there, take the plate and run it and move on with there. But to get to the storage box you need to be in the property, no warrant = you dont get into the property, no property = u cant identify the gun.

As you can see it is complex to have something like this implemented and I'd rather have the DEV team work on other jobs such as firefighter and EMS.
