headlights turn on automatically at night? Another L for rtu mains

You may have noticed you can only buy skins for the basic planter. That is because we are retiring the Advanced Planter. This is to facilitate future plans we have for planters and ways to make growing more interesting. We don't have any more to share at this time, but it is something to look forward to. Your old advanced planters will remain in storage and will be placeable as props, but will no longer function. The new Planter (replacing the Basic Planter) also has a new look. All Basic Planters will become the new Planters automatically.

May I ask what is the Heterochromia thing is please in the Vanity Store?Hi everyone! Today's smaller update brings with it a nice handful of changes and quality of life updates accross the gamemode. No preamble this time, let's get straight into the changes.
Update Log 09/04/2026
Crafting Queue | Phone Updates | QoL Improvements | New Store Items
New Crafting Menu
We have reworked the crafting menu to be much easier to use, including the introduction of a crafting queue. You will be able to add single items to the queue up to a craft time of 3 minutes. This is to make crafting small items such as stimpacks less tedious. Crafting a single item that takes longer than 3 minutes will add the components to the queue.
You can also now sort by "Ready to craft", showing only the items you can currently craft at your skill/genetics levels and with the materials you currently have on you.
Camera App
The phone is getting a pretty major addition today, with the introduction of a camera app! Featuring a both a main and selfie camera, with zoom and a photo library, you can finally capture your favourite perp memories to the little thing in your pocket. In the future we also plan on letting you upload these photos to Tooter! (Images are saved to Garrys Mod/garrysmod/data/camera)
Other Phone Changes
Alongside the introduction of the camera app, we have also made changes accross the phone and its apps:
Tooter
Tooter has been updated to make it a better social platform for the server. The first page now shows all recent tweets made on the server regardless of who you are following. (Don't worry you can still check up on the people you follow by switching views).
UI Updates
UI accross the phone has seen quite a few changes as well, with some apps recieving minor color adjustments, and others getting full overhauls. The notable changes are:
- Updated the color scheme accross the phone
- Adjusted some fonts in the messaging app
- Updated the Emergency app UI
- Reworked the Banking app UI
- Reworked the Weather app UI
- Reworked the Calculator app UI
- Reworked the Notes app UI
Home Screen
As well as the above changes, we have also reworked the app order on the home screen. This might take some getting used to, but apps are now in more logical places and are grouped together with similar apps. We have also given a few apps some new icons.
Miscellaneous Changes
- Added several new locations to the map app
- The map app now abstracts some locations depending on zoom level
- Added an option to the F1 menu for rightone/dialtone sound volume
- Couriers and Mayors can no longer open the Delivery app
New Store Items
We have added some new items to the Vanity Store, being the ability to buy Tooter Checkmarks AND the much anticipated Planter Skins. As well as this, a new storage chest skin has been added.
Planter Changes

Spin-To-Win Changes
We have replaced the 30 days, 7 days and 1 day premium rewards on the Spin-To-Win wheel with 1 Premium Token, 25 Vanity Store Credits, and 10 Vanity Store Credits.
Job Changes
- The cell number is now broadcast when imprisoning someone
- Medics can now slow jog when dragging a body
- Fire hoses no longer do just a single spurt when right clicking
- Automated doors for the PD and FD now open slightly faster and have a slightly larger detection area
- Many courier QoL Changes
- Currently loaded orders in a couriers van now show at the top right of the screenw whilst they are in the drivers seat
- Packages now spawn with the label facing forwards
- More NPC orders can appear on the shelf
- Increased minimum value an NPC order can spawn with
- Increased the maximum value an NPC order can spawn with
- Clients now recieve more texts during a packages delivery (such as when it has been dropped off at the door of their property)
- Left clicking on the delivery van will open the package menu (instead of needing to climb into the back)
- When carrying an order, the order information is now shown at the top right of the screen instead of bottom right (where it is blocked by the phone)
- When joining the job alone an NPC package will spawn immediately
- Updated the text message recieved by clients when first placing an order
Other Changes
- Magnifying scopes have had their zoom levels adjusted to be more appropriate for the map's draw distance (instead of realistic values)
- Improvements to fire
- Fires now have an improved visual look
- Improved performance when many fires are spawned
- Fixed fires sometimes spawning in the sky
- SWEPs now have a more consistent order in the hotbar
- Split some property door names onto two lines
- The public doors in Lakeview now indicate which rooms are down their respective hallway
- Vehicle headlights now automatically turn on at night
- Improvements to some vehicle models and performance
- Volvo 242 Turbo
- Mini Cooper 1965
- Ford F100
- Ford Transit
- Added car wash sounds to the car wash machines
- Checking pulse/injuries now shows all the information on the left side in a more formatted look
Fixes
- Fixed some emergency light locations on undercover vehicles
- Body bags now always show the appropriate color strip for the job of the deceased
- Fixed passenger seat positions for the MTL Firetruck
- Fixed burst fire being able to fire an extra round than was available
- Glass bottles/molotovs now properly break for the person throwing it
- Fixed some capitalization or name formatting on some doors
- F9 hints no longer render off screen on some resolutions
- When the Food Stamps policy is in effect, all prices are now shown as whole numbers instead of decimals in some cases

RIP advanced planters, oh the millions of dollars you generously gave me….
Cool update I like the majority of things in it but just some things I wanted to say
Not a fan of removing advanced planters right now, I feel like if your planning a change to planters do it on one update because right now we basically traded 2 extra planting spaces for skins that only really bazaar dwellers use and the majority wont. Its easy to just say "oh its only 2 slots" but those extra seed slots add up massively over time and if its gonna be added back in the future in a planter change but just reworked into the basic planter I dont really understand the need for removing
Auto headlights? From my understanding RTU already feel like the dont have enough small things to do other than speed cameras, in real life you dont turn on your full lights and drive around a city either I feel like its just completely unneeded?

I think that's precisely the point. People make too much money from drugs, not too little. If anything the drugs will be reworked to result in lower yields.
That is precisely how it works in real life - most newer cars do it automatically for you. You just don't drive around with brights, which we don't have on PERP anyways.

There is nothing to disagree with.. I didn't say I am in favor of this either.
Just because it's automatic doesn't mean people won't intentionally turn them of and instead of ignoring every car, you'll now specifically look for those who made a mistake or intentionally turned them off.
