Punishment Type: Warning
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @@Teby
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: Not Applicable

Your Steam Name: Pugga
Your Roleplay Name: Jerome Darky
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:84503031

Why were you punished?: 2.5/3.4 -

2.5, 3.4 - The user gunpointed then killed an incompliant officer because he was being pulled over on the way to defend his base against raiders.
Why should this appeal be considered?: Basically my car had been stolen, to which we retrieved it back at slums. As i was at slums a raid was then commenced on my base so I left the scene which the original officer allowed me to do. Next minute as I was driving back the RTU seen in the clip attempted to pit manouver me and pull me over several times for my wheel as he claims it was "Unsafe", i told the officer the circumstances and he was having none of it. I attempted to get back asap but was constantly rammed, so to preserve my base and friends lives I decided to disable the car and gunpoint the officer to put his hands up so i can drive off and worry about it later. The officer decided he thought it would be a wonderful idea to break 3.4 and not comply with my gunpoint so he was killed. If he hadnt of pinned me I would of brought him back to my base but yeah, he wasnt having none of it

If the officer had complied with gunpoint he would of survived, at this moment in time of responding a few of my friends had died and I wasnt going to just let that happen. I personally think this is justified as I NEVER wanted to kill the officer and had a strong reason to evade/not pull over right away especially for a tire blowout

Reason3.4 - The user failed to follow orders under direct gunpoint, causing his death.

We understand that you were in a dire situation, aiming to return to your base as your property and friends were in danger. Given the circumstances, we could have shown some leniency with some of the actions we witnessed, but we think that stepping out of the car and emptying a magazine into the officer's car (and therefore shooting at the police over a traffic stop) resulted in excessive and unnecessary escalation. Had the officer had a bit of blood in their veins, the situation would have ended in a shootout with the police either way; if you shoot at a manned police car, there is a very high chance the cop will just get out and shoot you, and evidently doing so just to "disable" it while the officer is still inside and trying to stop you solely over a traffic charge is not acceptable. Furthermore, we do not tolerate the killing of people solely because they breach 3.4 if it does not bring any real advantage to you. In this case, with his car disabled, you could have easily just driven off, rather than attract more attention to yourself by triggering the officer's life alert, although the main issue still resides within the initial shooting.

We understand the current reason does not fully reflect this, and the wording makes it sound like you were punished because you shot an officer who was not following 3.4, which is not the complete picture. Given this, the warning will be amended to the following:

2.5, 3.4 - User emptied a magazine into a manned police car, disabling it, because he was being pulled over over a traffic infraction while his base was being raided. When the officer failed to comply with gun-point shortly after, he killed him.
