I'm retarded and I dropped my Note 8 on the stairs after hitting my leg hard, the whole screen is cracked from a half a meter fall gg, served me well for 2 years

I'm looking for:
Android
Possibly a quality rear camera
High res and/or high refresh rate display
Expandable storage via SD card is a plus
No need for a 3.5mm Jack as much as I hate not having one

Potential candidates for me would be OnePlus or LG's new double screen phone. I'm currently not really up to date with any new phones so any recommendations will do. I'm ditching Samsung due to Exynos SOC, trash.

Budget is 500 Euros, 700 Euros it would start to hurt but nothing a 0% interest financing can't fix.

I currently own a OnePlus 8 Pro and it is BY FAR the best phone I have ever had. The camera is crazy good taking solid pictures with both the front and rear camera. Their portrait mode is fenomenal and makes whatever you are trying to take a picture of look great. The camera bump is quite large but that is solved with a simple case, I just use the one that came in the box.
The Macro camera is a bit hard to use but after a few days of trying to take macro pictures, you get the hang of it. Again, amazing quality pictures.

It has a 120Hz display which you can definitely notice if you transfered from a 60Hz screen, it is so incredibly smooth. I let a friend of mine try the phone out and the first thing he said was 'Wow. this is so smooth'. It is 6.8 inches which is quite large but I quite like that, personal preference really but considering you had a Note 8 I don't think size will be a problem. You could always opt for the non Pro version which is 6.55 inches. It lacks some extra features though, I don't know exactly what but just check out their product page.
The colors of the display are also very nice with a few different settings. It has an AMOLED screen. 1440p so you can watch some quality videos with it, I barely notice a difference on a screen this small though (Compared to desktop screens).

Only downside with display is that you have to manually turn on the best settings and it will definitely impact battery life. It still gets you through the entire day though.
Talking battery life, it is great. I can easily use all sorts of different apps throughout my day and it will barely scrape the battery life. And if it does, you just pop it into the charger that will literally charge your phone from 15% to 50% in like 10 minutes.

The audio is also great but could be better. It has '2' loudspeakers, one at the earpiece and one at the bottom right side next to USB-C port. The bottom one has good bass and can get quite loud but I have found that the top one obviously doesn't have bass and somehow sounds louder than the bottom one if you play music or videos. This only happens on very loud volumes but I am an audiophile so I notice that sort of shit.
Other than that, the audio is very good and it is a solid listening experience for music and videos if you have nothing else to use.

It doesn't have 3.5mm, it has a nice slide button for Ring, Vibrate and Mute, you get a case in the box and you get stickers with it! Win for me.

All in all, I am very happy with the purchase and have been recommending it to everyone that needs a new phone. It is a solid phone for a solid price. The only downside in your case is that it doesn't have expandable storage.

Don't get dual screen phones, they break.

If you're like me and use google for everything, I'd recommend the Google Pixel 5. It comes 5g ready, 128GB and is a decent quality phone. It's got:
  • Screen Size: 6in
  • Rear Camera: 12.2 Megapixel
  • Mobile Connectivity: 5G
  • 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM
  • 8Megapixel front camera
  • 1080p @ 30 fps, 60 fps, 120 fps, 240 fps • 4K @ 30 fps, 60 fps
The phone itself is £599 and that's from the official google store. So obviously you can get it elsewhere for at least £90 cheaper, around £500 with a two year warrenty.

I have the Google Pixel 2, which is a few years old now but works wonders for me. It charges so quick even though I bought it second hand. The google phones link perfectly with Gmail, YouTube, Google accounts etc.

Although the OnePlus does sound good, my colleagues at work used to have them.

Update: Not going for the OnePlus 8T after all, getting the Oppo Find X2 Neo

Reasons:
Currently only 400 Euros, way cheaper
Better camera (Photography is kinda my hobby so this also played a big factor)
IP rating (apparently OnePlus doesn't have one to save money but I don't trust that shit)
256GB of storage is a plus since you can't insert any SD extension

Things I'm giving up on:
90Hz instead of 120/144Hz
Slower charging (Oppo manages 0 to 100% in 55 minutes which is still incredible)

If the Pro version drops to 600 (Unlikely, even on Black Friday) I'd get that. Or a Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro
