HALLOWEEN EVENT 2025

Was very fun then Fredy started griefing! Overall was fun though just in future if you dont like the car tech I would say make a rule against it for next the event (even though I would argue its a lot more fun/realistic then a most of the maze bases) or at least in the moment disabled the car and not spawn zombies on us immediately. People will argue it was to op or dragged the event longer but there was multiple times we nearly got caught and turned infected but just got lucky until they spawned the zombies on us without a spawner :penguin: Was still fun though, thanks @Ellie & @walnash

It's fun for you but at that stage it's not fun for the other 90 players who are all zombies because they can never catch up with cars.
I hope you understand that it is our responsibility to make it as fun for everyone as possible.
Being a zombie can be fun when it's raiding people's fortified bases but it stops being fun once you have 30 people just hiding in the forest or driving around in cars because 90% you will just be running around being bored.

I get that but while watching the demo there was a couple moments where you spawned in actual spawners which nearly cooked us at a reasonable distance, one example being this clip.

I might've left godmode on guys, my bad.

The point was not to kill you, it was to force you to abandon your cars. Unfortunately, you were really stubborn about staying in your car.

This happens every year when people make bases that are too good or find strats that work. Just like in 2023 or 2024 when our whole base got air striked at hicktown which just insta killed us all instead of giving us a chance to move away from it because we used the piranha water to damage the zombies, we didn't break any event rules but we used a good strat. I really like the zombie event and I thought the way it was done this year was exceptionally good but I just wish people weren't punished for being creative and using good strats that aren't easy to pull off but work really well when done correctly.

Hello Survivors!

I want to take a moment to address some of the feedback that’s been posted in this thread and from those who messaged me about last night’s event. Even though I personally wasn’t responsible for how some things went, I still want to apologize on behalf of the team and the event as a whole.

I completely understand that it can be frustrating when things don’t go as expected, especially during a big event that many of you were excited for and prepared for, for several hours. I really appreciate everyone who took the time to share feedback, it helps us understand what went wrong and what we can do better next time.

I also want players to feel encouraged to be creative and find new ways to survive (which is the whole point of the event) without being punished for it. Seeing people come up with smart and unexpected ways to stay alive is what makes these events fun and memorable.

Our main goal is for everyone to have fun, and I totally get the frustration when things don’t feel balanced or fair. Because of that, we’ll be working on clearer guidelines, event rules and hopefully some new code for Sunday’s event to make it more balanced, enjoyable and smooth for everyone involve, both survivors and zombies, without too much staff interference. We’ll do our best to make the next event better! ❤️

I hope to see you on Sunday!!
