Is chop shop too easy?

The idea behind the system is fine but there's a well known cheese which makes it too easy - lockpick the car successfully, then run away and wait for the text without ever entering the vehicle.

If cops show up they can't do anything allowing you to hop in the car and go straight to the drop off after they leave.

People seem to forget, worst case scenario, you lost 6k from the lost crowbars, 20 minutes of your time that could of been spent growing drugs or getting a pay check, and possibly a police fine, so it can be a LOSS. On the flip side if you complete it, you don’t gain much more than you would, had you of just grown.

So no, it really isn’t too easy given the reward.

The biggest issue for me is I really enjoy a progression system. I also really enjoy mini games as “hacks” but I understand not everyone likes the idea of “hacks” or mini games that require actual skill in PERP. That said, I still think your average John Doe should not be able to do a hard chop shop as his first job. A new criminal should need to gain reputation to actually earn the right to take on such a high class mission. If criminals get more things to work towards, life would be far less boring.

I had a cool experience playing a FiveM thing where doing passive crime that progresses you, passively earns you crypto that lets you buy a heist contract for a bigger score. I thought that was amazing, since that gives a hype event style feeling to heists making them feel exclusive and special while providing progression for criminals in various passive ways along their path to the big moments.

It is far too easy for the reward, a bank raid tier payout for 5-10 minutes of low-risk work and a few crowbars
I assure you raiding the bank is a lot easier than you think, it is also available multiple times throughout the day.

I also don’t know anyone who does the bank for the money at this point, the org xp/score is far more valuable for people.

It is easy with a good crew, but there’s way more risk for bank - Gun, auto warranted 10k10Y, $5K deposit and 30 minute investment

I don’t want to shit on the post but you have these things called free spins that frequently give out 20k to players per day, for free, in less than a minute. Is this too easy? Should it be nerfed?

Chop shop is perfectly balanced tbh

It is easy with a good crew, but there’s way more risk for bank - Gun, auto warranted 10k10Y, $5K deposit and 30 minute
You should ask the majority of crim mains in the most populous orgs why they don’t bother doing the chop shop mission if you believe the reward is too good.

I think the difficulty of the mission is fine, my only issue with it is the way people can just avoid cops for a while and go to the drop area then surrender and get a 5k ticket.

I think that, in order to be fun for cops and crims, if you get arrested/die within 10 minutes of delivering the car then you do not receive the reward. The fun in pursuits is the adrenaline of trying to lose the cops and then stay hidden until you deliver it.

Just driving a car around for 5 min than rush to the delivery area, get 40k for the car then get a 5k for the ticket is just lame.

what Does new player guidance have to do with this post AT ALL. We’re talking about making money and obviously it’s regarding the hard difficulty. New players have nothing to do with that level of crime.

Making it have requirements for staying out of jail is cool, I was more leaning towards discussing having it be locked behind a progression system to provide passive rp to reach the rep to doing hard difficulty along with the things you mentioned.

the way it work its fine , dont forget you might break 10 crowbars to open the car and you might be handcuffed while crowbaring the car and you should escaip also the car might spawn in bad location like (RC,Slums,Regals,casino)

i think it add more activity for plpd and for crims like chasing and some other stuff

It comepletely depends on where the car spawns and who is playing cop at a time. Good RTU can ruin your day with little bit of teamwork. Also @ClumsySpyTTV will beat chop shop car with nightstick till it despawns, if u leave it abanadoned

I got tired from PERP because there is not much variety. The only passive crime is afk drug growing or crafting explosives. I played FiveM and tried car boosting that works in tiers which is basically what Chop Shop is but instead of instantly being able to do Hard difficulty you have to progress. Like how you can’t ask DD location if your org is too low level on PERP.
