5.2 Bribery

Is this a new law or a change to a current law: Change
What law do you wish to change/add: 5.2 Bribery
No person shall attempt to offer or solicit personal payment in any form to any member of the emergency services or an elected official in order to receive immunity, preferential treatment or other such dishonest benefits.

Why should this change/addition be made: Outlaws wilfully soliciting or accepting bribes, which the law does not currently cover.
What is the aim of this change/addition: Covers a loophole where accepting bribes is not explicitly forbidden

A no brainer, but does 4.4 General Misconduct in a Public Office not cover this? Or is the intent of the suggestion to have more of a punishment than merely losing the job upon arrest?

4.4 General misconduct is quite vague but probably covers, though overlapping laws is not a bad thing as this irons out the ambiguity

Supervisors use it to arrest them based on it/demote them.
