Bank being counted towards raid counter is a hard no. Bank already has a cooldown in itself, and limiting people even more on combat will only kill the server. PD raids maybe? But then again that would kinda ruin things more. If anything change it so you can ONLY break your friends out if they get arrested for Murder/manslaughter potentially.

I actually agree on this, its kinda stupid you can react on text screams/yells especially when cops Arent allowed to voice recognise you, then why should anybody else?

Regarding putting raid timer on 1 being that its only 2 an hour is also really low Although I understand, but 1 this server isnt supposed to be strictly people doing Fuckall, and limiting the amount of raids WILL NOT improve rp because most people just to intend to rp in general so its not an improvement rather than just having less gunfights and more people getting much faster bored and just quitting the server.

Raid fatigue is incredibly common on cop. There used to be so many more things for cops to do, but whenever I've been on duty in the past few weeks it's just raid after raid against people equipped with far better weapons and superior communication. It is not fun to defend a PD raid only for another to happen immediately because you arrested people from the first. It is not fun to get blackscreened then immediately be confronted with two other raids upon respawning. It is demoralising to know that even if you win and arrest someone you have to then deal with a further PD raid because it is now impossible to prevent people from calling ten toes (they can do it from inside the jail cells.) The non-pvp aspects of PD have diminished to such an extent that to do anything else I am restricted to interacting with an incredibly small portion of the player base. Everyone who gets arrested threatens IAs, everyone who is arrested constantly wastes time and abuses supervisor policy. It is not fun to be a cop. The PD lockdown policies are ineffective and the PD hostage changes have actually made the PD raid problem worse. On a 64 population server it is not uncommon to see 1-4 cops online. For reference, this used to be the max population of the server and cop slots used to cap out at 12, which were usually pretty full. Few people bother to interact with cops when being arrested besides whining for a supervisor.

The core gameplay loop is not fun for anyone in the PD except the TFU officers who are actually well equipped to deal with the situations presented. Even then, entering an area where suspects could literally be anywhere is akin to being a squad of Americans trying to make their way through the Vietnamese jungle. 3.4 is no longer a real consideration in any meaningful way, and every time you respond to a firearms incident you just feel like you're going to be the next shmuck in some guys shitty frag montage. Very little has actually changed since my last post on the topic. As someone who has periodically been a member of the PD for nearly 10 years I can say that it's very bleak. I'm tired of the zergs, I'm tired of the extensive PD raids and quite frankly I'm tired of playing police. If it wasn't for the actually interesting and fun work I do in IA I would've resigned by now.

If I wanted to PvP constantly I'd play something that didn't pretend to be a roleplay server.

or in some situations have the pd shoot the fucking hostage in crossfire which is exactly what happened to me

Both the PD and Crims are an equal pain in the development team's collective ass.

no instead of yapping going back and forth at each other about the same thing everyday find a different game. i agree pd is unbearable .so is crim. thats just perpheads and if you take it seriously and cry over it then it is my opinion that you need to log off the game.

I mean in general this post was lowkey just reaction score rant slop as there was no solutions (as usual) however in general I dont think just abandoning stuff we like is normally the answer

all you gotta do is suffer until you get TFU or TFUIC, and then once you got it, play every second terrified since a butterfly might flap its wings, you get an IA, and receive a 3 month strike

Yeah, these complaints has been going on since I started and all be it small changes. Changes that YOU GUYS LIKE is not going to happen. Lets pretend it would happen, now the crim mains are super unhappy. There are no good outcomes or choices here so the only good choice is if youre this unhappy just leave atp.

Id disagree PD isn't unbearable rather PD-Crim discourse is as these are the only complaints in the post however I agree with you about the people who just make slop posts to whinge yet do nothing about it they're annoying and should just log off ngl

Couple hundred hours no IA's they don't want the smoke. Sometimes you just gotta swallow your pride (pause) or some kid will cry over some minor policy break anyways

Well feels like trouble in terrorist town lately thx god they changed that rule about hostage taking in pd that was cancer but yeah some people are so shallow or just lazy what they do is go on pd only play with friends then get bored go on crim do their 2 raids per hour and come back. Back and forth doing same thing every day not interest in RP just being on the server for the sake of it. RTU is trying to give other opportunities but no love is given to them and lets be honest there is more trigger happy people on the server then larpers due to their personalities or just being plain introverts hanging around 5 people. Honestly maybe introducing more fun jobs or something else to break that monotone aspect of the server might help. Question is what??? I used to grind PD cause i already maxed other jobs and i felt like meeting more people will open some opportunities or just so i am a bit more known in this new community. There are definitely dedicated people making PD better which i respect but going for higher positions feels like to me dealing with crybabies that always call for supervisor or do AIs for really stupid reasons and that kinda puts me off. Like @sza said until you get TFU its low-key learning to suffer on black screen for 5 minutes and once you finally pass it which sometimes takes longer then job application get one person and all your hard work is gone in an instant and it does not matter how many hours did you sink in without problem into it. Plus gov radio is a joke too with someone yapping so much that everyone gets annoyed and mutes it or during crucial situations its total cluster f***. I would say more training opportunities for new coming people into PD would help to teach them the basics of the job and make it more entertaining for them as i see new people struggle to get it or just go alone cause other people have their own groups already and get blasted by AIs or supervisor talks and making them hate the job. There is for sure people seeking new opportunities in PD and creating a job or a mandatory newcomer training would make them feel more welcomed among the PD veterans like going with with a dedicated person showing them the basics, introducing them to the team and spark that first interest in them - as they say first impression is important to form an opinion. U know some more LARPy things. This is not to spark a hate here its just my honest opinion of my observations over several months and compiling it together. As many people say do what you want in the end its a game but making more stuff interesting would hopefully break that monotone cycle. It feels like u go on PD to earn money and have shootouts and then use that earned money to go on crim and do that same.

The most stupid thing about all these arguements and debates is finding a middle ground on how much realism should be added. Like first its a "Serious RP" server so I expect there to be some, you know, serious, real RP. On the other hand, its fucking garrys mod, its a video game, a very silly video game at its core. So i find it very annoying to figure out what is fun but also realistic.

At the end of the day, I dont think we will ever find a permanent solution to most of the stuff we find are issues. The solutions will always upset some people and make other happy, I dont believe that perp will ever be a perfect game, it can be fun and silly but not perfect.
