Is this a new law or a change to a current law: Change

What law do you wish to change/add:
3.10 Punishments
Law enforcement officers have the power to punish government employees and members of the public, however they must follow the provided punishment below each law, punishments listed are maximum penalties. Permission must be gained by a Lieutenant or higher if an LEO wants to go above the provided maximum punishment. The use of Capital Punishment is not permitted

Why should this change/addition be made: Because it is so random and retarded how they can change charges, this makes no sense I just recently had a 9.2 punishment become 10 years only because it was peter wolf, wanna know why? so they can get ACOD!!!

What is the aim of this change/addition: To stop salty supervisors going above the law to punish us?? No point of this it makes no sense

Additional Information: Every power hungry cop main is going to dislike this

dont know if i even get a say but this makes sense, current system is daft and unrealistic

Attempting murder should still be 10 years though... Because realistically from a legal perspective, succeeding or failing with your murder attempt, you still made an attempt to take someones life and you would still receive a long incarceration as you are a danger to society.

@Kempotent I think you have failed to understand that the text below each law is a guideline for police. To stop Senior Officer giving ridiculous tickets... LT+ is allowed to go above the guidelines when needed. This does not give them the power to abuse it as it is controlled within PD policy. If you got an unfair punishment then you should make an IA complaint.

I agree. @Collier put me in jail for 10 years merely because I broke into the PD, threatened them with a nuke and wanted to get myself gassed.
I think this is clear power abuse.

This is an excerpt from the Police Handbook and covers compounding punishments, if you receive a jail sentence or fine that exceeds the maximum punishment given in the law and feel it's not justifiable, please make an Internal Affairs complaint. In certain cases, making exceptions is useful. For example excessive repeat offenders or suspects who have committed several crimes to a point where a longer sentence is appropriate.

It should be fairly clear when to use this power, especially to employees ranked Lieutenant or above.

You are clearly a power abuser and the provided information is false.

Maybe you should go to the gas chamber, not me.
