3D School Project- Help Needed

For my year project, me and a friend are trying to make something in a program called 'Autodesk 3ds Max'.
Our teacher sucks balls and never explains something, so if someone from PH knows how to make something in 3D in this program or another program, all help is welcome. Please don't be a CSGO russian troll and actually help when posting in here. PS: it's the 2k15 version.

It really depends what you wanna make, there's loads of beginner tutorials all over youtube.

What do you need to make a text for? An image? Please explain.

You could work with Autodesk's Maya. There is a quite funny "teacher" on youtube called Animationmethods who are fun to listen too and he teach it quite well, so thats just two positive things :b I would suggest it, I'm using it myself as well for 3D projects

I need to make some kind of an object/sculpture. It's possible to rig it I think but I don't know how to either.
