What rule do you wish to Edit/Add:
2.5: Excessive negativity.
Your version of the rule:
2.5 Excessive Negativity

Players may not excessively impact the experience of others in a negative manner, unless the actions are a proportionate escalation of negative actions that have been performed against the original player.



When participating in raids, players carrying visible weaponry are considered to be significant enough threats to be killed justifiably without prior verbal commands or interaction.



For example, it is not acceptable to:
  • Intentionally mug and target new players.​
  • Destroy valuable items due to basic distaste such as product prices.​
  • Killing a player over verbal insults, minor or accidental actions.​
  • Killing a player after mugging them because they’ve seen your identity.​
  • Intentionally steal a car to wreck it without any valid reason.​
  • Disrupt or otherwise impede a non profit passive role playing situation, event, etc. Without a good reason.

Why do you believe this rule should be Added/Edited:
Passive role play events, such as organised parties, events, car shows, etc. Are great and all but they can go wrong due to:
- The passive nature of the event resulting in people showing up unarmed, resulting in opportunistic criminals coming to ruin the events.
- General poor behaviour ruining the event.

I've seen some really retarded shit happen in my time during these events. The thing that took the biscuit for me though was the following event:

The Evo City nightclub party:
This was an evening long event hosted by myself, @The HitMan , @ShadowJoey , etc. The goal here was to breathe new life in the Evo city nightclub. The nightclub on evo city is fucking huge, and features some of the finest architecture evo city had to offer. Multiple sections meant multiple activities could take place without them impeding each other. Now, this wasn't an innocent event to begin with, and drug dealers were obviously dealing and giving out drugs in the shadier parts of the club, which was completely understandable and I encouraged it since that's what happens in night clubs IRL. All the planning and preparation time, me building setups, seating areas, the full monty, resulted in a fun RP situation for about 30 minutes til things got sour.
Things that "Ruined" the event for me included:
- The whole PD, including Heavy TFU constantly entering and "Guarding" the night club. This put a lot of guests at limitations on what they could do and drew more trouble in when people were caught breaking the law. We arranged bouncers too but the cops were all like "nO". Realistically police officers wouldn't put on full assault gear or their shotguns and sit inside a nightclub all evening.
- Some fucking morons were sat outside spamming fucking fireworks on a street lamp for a solid 10 minutes resulting in fires spreading outside, which they shoved gas cans inside of, which resulted in explosions hurting people and damaging props left at the door mans booth. This pissed me off slightly but @rogue sells furniture like sweets so I replaced it quickly.
- As a result of the police presence and someone snitching, a shootout broke out between cops and some guests resulting in officers literally firing over guests heads to shoot perfect circles around patrons. All cops died and at that point most attendees had left because cops made them, most didn't come back afterwards.

Personally I feel as though the worst aspect of that situation was the morons starting fires outside.

I'm sure you can name other situations where this rule would come into play.

What I think constitutes as a "Good reason" under this addition to the rule:
- "Instigation" for protection money. At least give the organisers a chance to buy their peace if you're targeting small profit role play events.
- You have a valid reason to murder a player partaking in the event under 2.5 and 3.4 and do so realistically.
- You have a valid reason to disrupt the event at hand (Active gang rivalries, Police business)

Situations that would be protected under the rule include:
- Social gatherings such as car shows, Parties, etc.
- Museums or displays (Player owned fireworks displays, antiques roadshow style display fairs, etc)
- Theatrical or musical performances and talent shows
- Player hosted games events (like the musical chairs one someone did last week)

Situations, Events, and other role play area's that should not be protected under the rule include:
- Political rallies, speeches, etc.
- Situations where a significant profit is being made
- Role play buildings that house a backdoor drugs operation. (Continental Hotels casinos and restaurants before the incident)
- Bazaar shops
- Anything offering services typically considered immoral, shady, or criminal. (Brothels, Crack dens, etc.)
- "Fishing towns" as significant profit is made from fishing.


TL;DR:
This addition to 2.5 is to stop people from ruining role play events where people are having fun and not making profit doing something other than shooting and killing each other.
